I'd have liked more signings by now so I'm disappointed but I'm not at the stage where I'll be writing off GB and JDT, it's not panic stations yet. I'll give them a free pass for this window, they started late, didn't know the squad, new to the league etc hopefully with a bit of a run up the next windows will be more productive. If not, then we can start the slating.

Watched the first half and bits and pieces of the second half, it's the first bit of ladies football I've watched for a good decade and have to say i was very impressed how far its come along in 10-15. Goalkeeping needs worked on though. 3 of our 4 goals shouldn't have gone in and from what i hear its fairly common across the game. 1st goal was a beauty though!

Morton is way ahead of Clarkson at Liverpool, he's had a few games with the first team and wasn't too bad but clearly the business end of the premiership / champions league is not his level yet. I think championship will be a good tester for him.

If Ayala stays and we sign another cb we'll have Ayala Wharton Newbie Carter Phillips as 5th choice. That's not a disaster. He'll get some minutes but we wouldn't be relying on him. I wonder if there's school of thought that we're not going to keep hold of Phillips long so chuck him in at the deep end, hope he floats and drives his value up rather than lose him for peanuts after a couple of league 1/2 apperances.

I think you could be on to something there. I think he's looking to pack the squad with Carter, Phillips, Wharton, Garret and Vale. And then get 2 or 3 more quality players in as a priority. We'll enjoy a season in the bottom half of the table but I reckon we'd have enough to stay safe then hopefully come January or the summer we'll have sorted out our list of players we want.
