The whole reason this thread is still even going is because some choose to come on and make their bi-monthly visit just to attack the board as a whole. The thread was actually quite enjoyable until then. it was a surreal match where just about everything happened from an odd lineup, to numerous injuries, an epic performance and goal from Reed, midfielders playing everywhere and us ending up with Smallwood in goal. Many need to remember that emotions are running high on matchdays as believe it or not, we all want our team to win. People make spur of the moment comments that they will probably not even actually mean. I did wonder if someone had slipped something into TMs drink as the lineup was bizarre but of course know he is going to make his own decisions and believe them to be the right ones. Those posters then play the victim card when they are called up on it. They throw a grenade into the thread then play the victim card.

I was here on matchday - i really do not remember anyone other than maybe one or two that 'condemned' the manager.

Mahoney came on in his position. Brereton is not a winger and I really cannot fathom why he is being played there. Palmer showed 10x what he does there. Stick the guy up front so we can see what he can do.

Yes it worked, kind of, I do not think anyone is disputing that. Are they? it is just people were attacked for questioning the lineup - were you not surprised? You could argue that WBA were there for the taking, Wigan did them, they were beaten in their last game too. WBA did not look all that and while a draw away is a good result, i really do not think that people questioning not going for somewhat of a different game plan is something that should be shot down as negative. Isnt that what message boards are for? My points in question. So should we now attack you for being negative as you didnt agree on the selection of Conway? This is what I am getting at, this was a strange and confusing lineup that rightly caused iscussion yet many are being lambasted for even daring to question it.

Think that pretty much sums it up perfectly. Nobody could have predicted that lineup and yes we got a result that most would have settled for. Whether we could have got more with different personnel, who knows but it did make for an entertaining match that is for sure. We have some easier (on paper) fixtures coming along now and we are still well within touch of the playoffs with tis league showing that anyone can beat anyone. Plus for me was that we didn't lose two on the trot as that is the kind of thing that can really start to derail any confidence. Smallwood in goal though - that man is a legend !

Again, how is questioning a lineup being negative? I really think you are going way OTT with this, every man and his dog questioned the lineup. I do not recall anyone calling for TMs head, just questioning why the hell we started with no strikers and our best AM playing out of position up front.

And here is another. Please enlighten us further as to why we are not allowed to comment on a starting eleven that contained no strikers? We might as well just shut this board down or just do as you guys wish and just have a mass orgy about how much we bow to everything that the club and TM does. RadioRovers and other media outlets also were bemused at the lineup - so why dont you go and bombard them as well. Nobody is calling for TMs head, we all appreciate what he has done and continues to do for the club but taking away peoples opinions is not far short of what your country tried to do a number of decades ago.

I think we all would have taken a draw. But that does not mean we cannot question why pretty much our entire team were midfielders. Not a striker in sight despite spending 9 million quid on them in the summer. I do not understand why this is causing so much friction?

I have not said WUM for about 5 years apart from the two times i said it to you. Must be at the stage of his career at 24 where he wants consistent starts. I feel Southampton will wait until their division is known for next year but this guy is being wasted on the fringes there - give him to us.
