  1. Even if it was more than that, hopefully after getting money in for Mitrovic, they will be happy to structure the deal over a couple of years. Wages might be an issue though but if I were Armstrong I would be thinking about getting out of there and playing first team football on a permanent basis as he is very unlikely going to be breaking into their first team anytime soon and is getting older.
  2. I have not said to get signings in that will double our budget over night. Other clubs have shown that there are sensible signings out there that we could have signed for less or about the same price as we got Dack. Many examples have been given already. Players for small fees that are young enough to have the potential to increase greatly in resale value. The pyramid is getting steeper yes - average players now going for upwards of 7 million as in the case of Gallagher. We should be taking advantage of that. Maddisson for example, get him in for 2 million and within two years he could be worth 5x that in this division. That Eisa at a million would have been a good shout too, there are players there that could turn a healthy profit for the club. Whether any profits would be reinvested is another thing but any big profits would at least reduce the outlay that the Vs have lost on this club and bring them closer to an amount they might consider writing off and leaving. Plus Armstrong is available at 3 million, not 5.
  3. Out of my entire post you picked up on that? Was just a reply to Paul Mani who believes fans ultimately dont give a toss about the club and would rather we go bust getting the best possible players as long as they are on the pitch. Of course the ultimate 'minimum' aim is to stay in the Champioship and there is that value but at the end of the season he just departs and goes off to his third club in three years. I am not disputing this loan at all as believe he could be a big factor for us but overall we should not be relying on loans too much and just hope we bring in some permanent signings that are an investment for the club.
  4. Ummm no...most fans do care about resale value considering the state of the club right now. This aint football manager where you go eat your dinner in a happy mood despite being relegated. Look at Dack, if he can fetches 30 mil in a season or two (which isnt exactly unrealistic in todays market), we are a good chunk closer to this lot selling up. The kid is a great loan signing, dont think I have seen anyone say anything other than that but at the end of that day, its adding no value to the club whatsoever. Bring in a couple of perms that could benefit the club both on the pitch and financially and supplement them with these loans and we should be fine.
  5. Think Number 10 is his best position but he is also able to play well on either side of that. Imagine he will slot in the three behind to one side of Dack and be Dacks backup if he ever gets any niggles.
  6. I just don't get the whole AgentBenno thing if its not something to do with one (or ideally both) of those two.
  7. Certainly has good pedigree in this division having helped Hudds to promotion and then Derby to the playoffs last season. Bit of a bigger challenge for him with us but pretty happy with this loan move. Just hope we get a couple of perms in (ideally a striker and winger).
  8. Ill be doing this once the windows shut.
  9. He said 'first' piece of business done - Another coming for sure.
  10. Killjoy lol Please dont be Beavers then.
  11. Surely he wouldnt be allowed to have that pic if he was at Boro?
  12. Quite possible they already know eachother via the England youth setups
  13. Meant to be working but keep refreshing the Rovers Twitter page instead - productivity at its best.
  14. This is why it could point to Chapman or Armstrong - everyone knows Benno got that agent tag by telling them to come back here. Would seem a litte OTT if it was just for the is Palmer kid we already knew about.
  15. I didnt, was just going off what people said on here - so its not two then?
  16. Palmer will be one as we already know about it - Really hoping Maddisson or Armstrong for the other but got a feeling I will be disappointed.
  17. Didnt know much about him either to be honest. 100 goals in 300 games across two spells for Bournemouth. 24 in 38 games last season is pretty impressive in League One too. Decent shout actually.
  18. He won the Championship with Bournemouth. The guy is 30 and has tons of experience if you check his wiki - not a bad goal rate either.
  19. Think thats why TM wants him...wants other options. He does like to play strikers in the 3 behind.
  20. Quick skillful type going off youtube clips
  21. Why would he do that? Dacks strength is coming frrom deep, taking players on and generally just making things happen int he final third - a striker he is not.
  22. Dont know much about this guy - can he play as one of the three in behind or winger?
  23. Recently it aint been that good. I used to feel the same but now i just feel like its a cryptic game similar to what Nicko plays.
  24. Anyone could pop in a couple of times a week and say - imminent signing without any details (although he said there would be a knee-jerk reaction). Dont think there is a knee-jerk with this one as he is rated from Derby but come on, what is the knee-jerk then? Smells of bs to me.
  25. You pop up and say signing imminent all the time - this one paid off and you are patting yourself on the back - not a good look.
