  1. Still in it - we have been better. Calm heads!
  2. Sterling - I would seriously have Dack in this lineup over him. Serious.
  3. Cuadro the dirty fck - so glad he messed it up.
  4. Leads by example. Not letting them phase him. Their keeper went the way he scored his last two pebnalties - he puts in down the middle.
  5. I like Maguire, the sort of big brute we need at the back. Never misses a header and gives as good as he takes.
  6. We have tended to keep our cool, yes, which I am impressed with too. That pinch on Sterling late on is an old trick, pinch the midriff purposely to draw out an arm swinging reaction - look how that Columbian (yes i spelt it wrong on purpose) fell over like he been hit by a baseball bat.
  7. Even with all that - this lot are there for the taking imo. Sterling - every single time i watch him for England - he is the same. Runs into brick walls - where is the man city version of this guy?
  8. I think its his only option, he will not get many striking spots in the Championship as one up top is the trend. Would work best in a little and big strike partnership but this is seen less and less these days. I agree that his pace would be sensational on the break with Chapman and Dack is not slow either.
  9. True but 1 in 3 is not bad for a target man type, Graham got a similar ratio the season just gone and that was a division lower. As long as he can hold the ball well enough to bring the the 3 behind into play and net a decent amount - id be more than happy.
  10. Decent shout Chris Martin, solid enough striker very experienced at CHampionship level - thought he was on the verge of signing for QPR though.
  11. Bennett on the left? I know he can play a number of positions but never seen him anywhere on the left. Think I would rather just sign a left winger.
  12. Yup - a very fortunate unfortunate injury. Happy he has signed more due to he could have gone somewhere for a low-ish fee this year or for free in a years time.
  13. So that really should be that for central midfield now? Davenport will obviously be in direct competition with the likes of Smallwood, Bennett, Evans, Whittingham and Tomlinson. Travis and Lenihan can also play there if required. Really think Tomlinson needs a season on loan somewhere in league 1 where he will feature regularly. Rothwell I feel is being brought in to play as one of the three behind Graham but he can also play in the middle. So whats the outlay so far? 500k + a couple hundred for Rothwell? We were told a bit more than last year, so even with an estimate of 3 mill, we would still have a couple mil left plus change. Two wingers and a striker would be my wishlist with that lot.
  14. Yup very good news. Hope he can push on and develop into a top championship player with us. Dack next please!
  15. Haha! He doesn't count as whichever side of the moaner/non-moaner wall you fall on, you know he is a wind up merchant.
  16. Not sure where all this 'running the player into the ground' has come from tbh. People were commenting on initial links saying that it will be a loan move. Most were saying they are not overly happy with another teenager loan after the likes of Harper, Byrne and the like in recent years and that they would be happier if it was a permanent signing. Do not think anyone questioned the kids talent just the type of signing in looked like it might be - a loan move for a teenager in a position we are already quite stocked in.
  17. haha class! DL signing up for 4 years is good business too.
  18. This thread gives an insight into his development the last couple of years - https://forums.bluemoon-mcfc.co.uk/threads/jacob-davenport.320262/
  19. Anyway Skip, I know you have links to the kids game, do we have something here, is this kid someone that could go on to become a top player? Obvioulsy tought to break in anywhere at City.
  20. Stuart has been arguing for some time that Travis's main position was RB/WB but was often shouted down by others that he was a CM. You have cemented his claims.
  21. So happy this a permanent deal and not another teenager loan - by all accounts this kid is very highly rated, played half a season in the championsjip last season and was a standout in the team he played for. In fact, i read a Burton tweet where they were claiming his debut was the best they ever saw (okay, perhaps hyperbole but surely stands in good stead). Young, value, potential - exactly how the club should be operating. Will he start? He must have a good chance, perm fixture in Burton, even if not he will certainly be pushing what we have. Now we need some WINGERS please, and a striker or two.
  22. Yes 17 games, was a six month loan in January and was an ever-present in the side apparently.
