I would say our best performance of the WC so far. Sweden were not all that but I thought we controlled the game. Sterling...he is dangerous because of his pace and directness but his composure and decision making infuriate me. Square it to Kane and its 2-0. We seem to be slowly getting there and putting in better performances as we go - dare I say German-esque-like? So I would say that I am confident we can give Croatia a game.

Didnt think so. Would not be the worst gamble, scored a bucketload in League 2 but at a million for a gamble...dont think it is one we would have been looking at seriously.

All jokes aside and all that - we have been on the end of many and its not nice, this does not bode well for them. Attracting players will now become almost impossible and should these issues linger into the season as well... For us, it looks like it might be one less team to worry about finishing above.

I think most at the start of the WC, with the draws - most of us would have expected a minimum of getting out of the group. Reaching the QF is now somewhat better than most would have expected. Sure, we have a chance to go further than we have done in a very long time and who knows, even make a final and have a chance at winning it - but wahtever happens tomorrow, the kids have done better than the minimum that was expected in my opinion.

Forgot about him, he looked highly promising for us before injuring himself for the season. Seems injuries have really blighted his career - Was released by West Ham in December and now plays in Canada.

I have little interest either, a tattoo is a tattoo and people can pretty much do what they like. Kids play with toy guns in the street idolising Stallone and Arnie or on their computer games - so the glamorizing of guns goes far deeper than that of a tattoo that a footballer has decided to get. I do not buy the link to his father part of it though and think he just stupidly made a connection of 'shooting' with my right foot only thinking it was clever. A more private tattoo somewhere else would have been more appropriate such as his dads face or a message to him. Ill-advised at best but it has been blown a bit over the top tbh - just wish he would be a bit more lethal with his gun-firing right foot to be honest.

Agree, its refreshing on the transfer front but publicly lambasting the team after matches is not very professional at all. He is not the manager and surely the buck stops with the manager, so why is he not publicly shaming him after losses? No wonder many of their players want gone every summer. They are a selling club though and they always ask top dollar for their players.

Dack will at least want parity with the top earners at the club I reckon and who could blame him after the season he had. 16k after a relegation clause would surely put some on more than 20k now? If we are paying some members of the squad around that much, new players coming in for around that much is hardly going to disrupt the dressing room spirit.

Edwards would be a decent shout, year left on his contract, decent age and seems to fit the hungry type of player TM likes.

I am a bit worried that we did not seem to have the creativity to get a shot on goal though. Ali, Sterling and to a degree Lingard were pretty anonymous. Whther this is due to their lack of physicality against the athletic Columbians or whatnot but something really needs addressing.

He does have a mistake in him but he does give us that recovery pace - early on in the first half when the Colombians were hitting us on the break at speed, on a couple of occasions it was his pace which allowed us to thwart them.

Temperament was never the issue - they are well trained in the art of cheating. Do you scuff penalty spots out of anger? Do you pinch Sterling in an attempt to see him flail some arms and then go plummeting to the ground out of anger? - NO. As for yet another Rugby tackle on Kane in the box (he must think we are playing a different sport). Did not even mention the subtle double headbutt that is a sending off in any other game and the fact they tried to bully the referee on every decision.

My god!!! Seriously when I saw henderson step up - I just knew he would miss it the same way Southgate missed many years ago. Finally we had one swing our way!
