  1. Yep appreciate the effort you put into that - interesting stuff.
  2. Think we need a new thread - WAG Watch, as this just goes to show the quietness on the transfer front with us (mostly men) all ogling one of young players missus lol.
  3. She is gorgeous - no doubt. But as others have said, that level of beauty does not come without pain. She has probably been bred to become a WAG and will obviously be more interested in the money, if he was not a footballer earning a nice wedge that has the potential to earn a shit ton more in the future - would she even look at him twice? Not a chance, her type chases the money over anything else. Just hope he is smart and rags it to pieces as much as possible before settling down with someone a lot more fitting to be a wife and mother.
  4. It is the type we need but its certainly a left-field move with massive differences between that league and this one. Hopefully TM and his scouting network have found a potential gem.
  5. You would have to say yes due to their valuations. Id then sell Grealish to Spurs for 35 million and offer 15 to Villa for Dack.
  6. Id rather have Dack at 750k than Grealish at 35 million put it that way. Who the better player is? - Well Grealish has performed at a higher level for sure but there are question marks abouts his attitude and consistency. Surely he would have featured more often for England otherwise. Ultimately, would anyone pay 35 million for Dack right now? Not a chance - who knows in a couple of seasons though.
  7. Third year now I think so they would have had to balance things out by the end of the season one way or the other. This will probably just about do it. Worlds gone mad though with transfer fees. 35 million...
  8. So they really DID have to sell Grealish then despite Steve Bruces comments. Any idea on the fee?
  9. Wish he did it more though. Graham gave him no choice but to go to the byline with that excellent piece of play - I dont think Williams was planning to go there at all.
  10. He is just talking the talk to keep Grealish's price up I think. Its quite obvious that there is a big hole to be filled financially after last season new owners or not. Says his not for sale but then bigs up Tottenham in the next sentence. "[Grealish] is not for sale, however, it is very difficult when we are competing against a team which is one of the big teams in Europe now, not just in this country and has played in the Champions League. "But the owner has made it pretty clear that he does not want to sell anybody and that includes Jack."
  11. No it shouldnt. Not sure how they can get away with it really. Bruce is saying he doesnt need to sell anyone now but surely they do if they want to meet FFP.
  12. New owners - http://www.skysports.com/football/news/11677/11460402/steve-bruce-says-it-is-time-for-aston-villa-to-rebuild
  13. See a couple of posts up where I said i got it wrong. Now be a man and respect the fact that others have opinions whether they match yours or not.
  14. I will go over it one last time. According to their fans, they were shocked that we moved for Rothwell as if Payne, who they think is the better player could not get into a L1 side, how would Rothwell be able to get into a Championship side. They also claimed he is injury-prone and could not put a run of games together. One even said that he has to wear some serious strapping when playing. Anyhow, I will leave it at that as I do not want your negative/positive crap to create more worthless posts for others to have to sift through. Ill await for the next mention of some posters/same posters/ some fans or doom mongers in your next daily dig tomorrow.
  15. Got it wrong, not made up. Was taken from their fans from their very own boards. Every day you come on here and start with the negative/positive nonsense - which leads to pages of utter tripe for the rest of us to read.
  16. I would be surprised if there wasnt a release clause to be honest. He's agent for starters would probably have insisted on one and I just hope it is 10+ million. A good season in the Championship and he will easily be worth that. Next season will be the one to worry about losing him in my opinion unless he tears this league up before Christmas and a PL club takes a stab at him.
  17. I think it is a little premature to assume that Hurst will not be able to do what Mick McCarthy has done there previously. It is obvious that he was given the job because he had done a very similar one with Shrewsbury albeit a division lower. He had them punching well above their weight and was capable of running a club on a strict budget. At Shrewsbury he plucked players from lower leagues and he has so far done exactly the same at Ipswich. Edwards, Harrison with Nolan and Nisiala imminent as well as being the latest club linked with Maddison would represent some good business though i imagine they will be financing this with the departure of Waghorn. Good point in my opinion though obviously could and probably should have been more. What I did like is that Graham and Dack were both clinical with their chances which bodes well to have them off and running already, Palmer was obviously not fully up to speed or comfortable as of yet but am sure he will play his part. Now with Armstrong to come into the team and hopefully a few more signings lined up, I am optimistic of a good season that will have us well away from the drop and potentially flirting in the top half.
  18. Its either that or the club will lose out as he has made it clear he will not sign an extension and will be free to walk at the end of the season.
  19. Done a great job there and is one of footballs good guys, am sure it wont be long before he gets another job in L1.
  20. Evans would have to take a massive wage cut to go there - as good as it sounds for us, this is unlikely to happen.
  21. it was leaked on the Newcastle end and Nixon has got some good connections up there, so for once he got one right. Rich Sharpe was either not told anything or was told to play it down - hence saying there was interest but he did not get the feeling anything was imminent.
  22. Yup a year of his career wasted. Could have played regularly for us in L1 or could have gone to another Championship club. Said it at the time it was the wrong decision.
