That would be the logical thing to do. Downing was good prelockdown but there is no guarantee he will be as good due to being a year older. We also have more depth in midfield so can get by without him. I would definitely trade him in for a goalkeeper of Westwoods experience for a couple of seasons.

If I had time, I would go back and look at ALL the transfers he has made throughout his career as manager. I would bet that he has a similar strike rate as to here. 2 or 3 standouts and the rest shite. Its the cost of the shite ones that does it though. Great, you got Dack and Armstrong in on superb deals, why cant we have more of that? Yet he spunks 12 million fckin quid on strikers to play on the wing. The vaping culture is an odd one for those that do it just to blow smoke rings and the like. But, for me personally, vaping was the only method that allowed me to successfully quit smoking. I now do neither. Yes, it took about a year for me to completely kick the nicotine addiction but having tried to stop smoking countless times in the past, vaping was the only thing to allow me to kick it permanently (thus far),. I started on a high nicotine strength vape juice which provided me with just enough to not need cigarettes. Then over time I would lessen the strength of the vape juice when buying it. Eventually I got down to 0% nicotine but continued the vaping for about a month later. This was just to help get myself out of all the other habits that smoking brings - hand to mouth, the habit of smoking after eating etc etc. I was then able to put the vape down for good and it now collects dust somewhere around the house. Still, i am against this sponsorship simply because vaping can also lead to smoking. Young kids can get hooked on these juices that have nicotine and that can obviously lead to them taking up regular smoking at some point. All because it looks cool to blow out some smoke rings.

Hardly the ideal market to sell players so if they are thinking of doing so, they are going to lose out a lot on their investment. Clubs in this division are not going to be splashing the cash as before due to the current climate. In fact, a few shrewd signings and we could be in a position to take advantage over clubs that do have to tighten up or sell. Hold tight with your supposed billions Venkies and you never know, we might just cause an upset.

I read the Stoke forums the other day and they were claiming that that Lindsay was shite and that the Aussie lad that we were also linked to should be playing instead of him. He was rated at Barnsley though and attracted quite a few clubs. For whatever reason, it has not worked out there but he does tick the boxes in terms of being able to play out a bit and is left footed. At this point, I just want to see somebody through the damn door. Also agree that this might have something to do with Evans. He did play well when called upon this season but lets be honest, he is injured half the time and prior to this season he would generally only play well when his contract was getting close to expiring. We have more cover in CM than we do at the back, so I would robably be fine with that happening - especially if we can get this Whiteman in.

Seems to start off a bit naff and gets better after a solid run of games. Lockdown must have been like pre-season or something as he reset to the guy that at the beginning of the season (but even worse). Not good enough really and we should not be loaning kid keepers so that they can make their mistakes and learn from them with us. it benefits the players club and not ours. If you gonna play a kid, at least let it be one of ours - if not, get an older head with solid experience in the nets.
