  1. People with their own agenda are not what the club is in need of. It needs people who put the best interests of the club first.
  2. The twitter post conveniently ignores Bolton and Burnley.
  3. The men's side is more gradual but it is work in progress.
  4. Ipswich and Sheffield Wednesday come to mind
  5. If actual bums on seats continue in the Oxford vein it must be a distinct possibility with the drainage being the justification. With the Riverside being the cheap seats it will be seen as an opportunity to increase revenue. The forecast this week is for a conveyor belt of rain with a weather front going all the way back to the Caribbean. LCC Super soaker is going to be working overtime. Even with that it can't clear the pitch whilst the game is in progress which makes any persistent rain during the match a risk for the Millwall game.
  6. EFL podcast includes piece about the pitch from 17.24 for around 5minutes. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/p0mmrq5g
  7. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/p0mmrq5g EFL podcast on state of pitch 17.34 onwards for 5minutes
  8. Bamber bridge pitch is waterlogged match off tonight. I would put our pitch on the same level these days.
  9. River Darwen levels currently running at same height as Saturday 4.30pm levels. Needs to drop quickly to help pitch to drain.
  10. Seems the Oxford forum have more information on pitch inspections than we have due to lack of communication out of Ewood.
  11. I have also been told being moved towards the exit due to wage level
  12. That might come back to bite you if the temperature drops
  13. I have been told Pickering is by a friend of the family.
  14. Forecast has the rain starting to fizzle out then 40% chance and continuing to reduce further up to kick off. They'll probably call it off at 2pm and then by kick off it will be perfectly playable
  15. And it rains and the match is abandoned due to a waterlogged pitch in front of the world.
  16. We have a lot of heads of says VI. No communication to the coach what the plan is. I'll give him a few more months and he will be off like JDT and JE. Sounds a very unhappy bunny.
  17. I think moving forward if it is raining and the ball shows any sign of impaired movement on the surface of the pitch the match referee is going to be heading for the tunnel in the full knowledge it's not going to improve.
  18. The drainage sleeve looks like something James May cooked up in his shed.
  19. Perhaps for the benefit of transparency the club could make public the drainage report confirming 60% is adequate.
  20. Trouble is chaddy Nicko has banned anyone who asks difficult questions.
  21. I think the River Darwen is a red herring. This is down to blocked drains within the pitch itself resulting in it being extremely slow to drain and resulting in standing water after any period of rain.
  22. Wednesday supporters had paid the teams travel and pre match costs for today's game.
  23. There was an apology on the ground by the announcer when the abandonment was announced
  24. Suggest to me the drainage pipes are blocked.
