  1. I’m properly the worst for getting carried away... After twenty minutes at Brentford I was genuinely looking at Premier Inn Wembley! ? But reality bites. If we’d managed to space out the results from Jan/Feb, we would have been ticking along decently and I think you’d be hard pressed to find anyone too disappointed with our current total. You can only beat what’s in front of you though, and the Wigan game should give us that positive, competitive feeling again. ANY result tomorrow against 40k a week Wednesday should be celebrated, really... and unfortunately, pessimisticly, pisstakingly (some might think) perhaps - I don’t think a loss should lead to a forum meltdown. And a win will be to the team’s, and THE MANAGER’S credit, surely.
  2. I think it’s usually one or the other, but Fletcher been 50/50 (pulled out of Scotland squad, has Mulgrew yet btw?) Nuhiu is shite, but Fletcher is a good aerial outlet. If either of them are playing though and they work the long ball and set pieces well - I’ll be watching through my hands... At least it’s not likely to be Mulgrew and Rolls Royce there cowering. Luckily Bruce isn’t known for his research, so may not have worked that out - he focuses more on his own side. Reed/Travis buzzing around the second ball and Nyambe clearing up the flick ons should see us near enough right in open play if we go with the same team. Just don’t give away any fouls. At all.
  3. If anyone really thinks this team - with an expensive wage structure breaking striker, or with defenders that we could get for 1/2 the price in summer, was genuinely in with a chance of a playoff place (never mind win it) is a bit of a fantasist imo. I wouldn’t want to run a business with those of you that thought “we should have gone for it”, “Mowbray has no ambition” etc... Although I would very much like to play you at poker. Our form in January was as unexpected as that in Feb. But I suppose to be expected with where we are as a club right now. Im glad we didn’t bet the farm on the playoffs... and to be honest - I’d be properly delighted with mid-table mediocrity right now. Commence shitstorm.
  4. Kind of the rule anywhere decent in my experience. Keep it well covered, or expect Fosters in a plastic pot.
  5. You would 'expect' a City vs Liverpool/Barca final from that for me... Guarantee I'm wrong.
  6. Tough. I didn’t like it. I’ve found an annoying niche now and by god I’m going to milk it.
  7. Fletcher is more of an aerial threat of the two probably. I am told Hooper is in contention for them after a long while though. ??‍♂️ Meh. We’ve got Maglooooo... Tyler Magloooo
  8. Same. But he jumps at about 5’8”. Big game needed from Tyler Maglite
  9. Heartwarming that. We aren’t alone in neglecting a large part of the local population. Seems these women may have took the initiative. Bloody good luck to them.
  10. You’d think this would help... Spoiler alert. It doesn’t.
  11. I honestly thought it would take longer. Bent as fuck. “As bad as Mowbray”
  12. Think if we’re playing 3 at the back it would be harsh to drop Conway. Played well for me. Otherwise I like that with Armstrong up top
  13. I have it on good authority @Biz will be doing a meet and greet in the Tap from 11:45
  14. I was mainly trying to put a positive spin on him potentially being injured ?
  15. Thought we played better with it on the deck after Graham went off tbh, and that would probably be the best way to approach this... Their defence is good in the air but turns like the titanic and I’m told they are light in midfield.. giving Dack/Travis/Rothwell room to operate. So how we finished the game last night would be fine for me.
  16. Oof don’t start that! Messi is undoubtably the best footballer of all time for me. He’s absolutely unbelievable, consistently magic. Ronaldo is the greatest athlete and competitor the game has ever seen, with the strongest will, drive and self belief. They should have a baby.
  17. Everyone from 10th down could realistically be in trouble in League One, madness.
  18. It’s a shame, I like Charlie and he contributes a lot but he really can’t defend or lead a back line that well. I think he would work effectively on the left of a 3 though, and we get to keep his wand-foot out there too if this is the way forward.
  19. I can’t stand Wednesday. Deludedly “massive” having done nothing for years, and lots of my friends are fans. I want my friends to be sad. Visitors should go down Kelham Island/Neepsend and get the tram up. The area is widely regarded as one of the best for “proper” alehouses in the country. The Fat Cat is my favourite. A bit closer to the ground (ten minute walk away) is The New Barrack Tavern. Love it here: good food - loads of beers and football focused. Full of friendly Wednesdayites pre-match so don’t be a dick. The Dinnerlady has shored their team up recently, but every unbeaten run must come to an end... With the confidence from last night I really think we can beat them. They really aren’t that good. Same team as Wigan? Commence arguing.
  20. I was watching a crap stream and it went off 3 times. For the 3 goals. Dont know how I can control that in the future mind.
  21. Costing me a ton bet that dinnerlady git. Unbeaten run has to end sometime...
