Anybody else feel we have too many "confidence players" in the team and not enough constant reliables -

Was going to say we could do with A Benni Mccarthy type striking coach... Then remembered Tomasson was actually a highly successful forward🙈 (although he definitely wasn't ever a prolific goal scorer) -

Ben Brereton Diaz
Armchair supporter supremo replied to Stuart's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
He'd be best to see this season out before making a final decision. If we get to the playoffs and he puts in a very good performance or 2 in front of the cameras with a big audience then it could tempt a few prem clubs to finally make a serious move for him. Or in the fantasy scenario that we won promotion he'd be better of signing a bumber Premier league contract here -

https://www.hitc.com/en-gb/2023/02/19/blackburn-transfer-news-rovers-make-last-ditch-offer-to-keep-brereton-diaz/ Any truth in this? Maybe a move to try and regain some support after the O'Brian fiasco Has his deal with the Spanish club not been sealed yet?? -
Premier League 22-23

Ive always sort of respected Man united, liverpool and Arsenal because they've built their enourmous clubs largely through decades of hard work, good management, success on the field and bringing through great home grown youth players, it's only in the past decade they've had to spend really big to keep up. Unlike wanky clubs like Man city, Chelsea... That would still be pretty average clubs if it wasn't for their insanely wealthy owners (I mean it wasn't that long ago city where related into division 1 themselves) -

If the filthy billionaire Arabs buy man united then they really should just piss off and start their own billy big bollox league of wankers. -

Rovers just hoping O'Brian quickly finds a club abroad so they can brush it all under the carpet with a 'well we tried..... We're a financially small club.... We dont have parachute payments.... It's never happened here before.... Blah blah blah...) -

Steve ugly bastard Cook was very quick to put the boot in us over the O'brian fiasco but now he thinks the rules should be ignored for him so he can add a few more names to his squad list! Fk me all the signings theyve made you'd think they'd have 3 or 4 players for every single position already! Weird one he is! That clubs heading for major early 2000s Leeds style collapse at this rate. -

Yes. They should have covered all bases in the paper work no matter how big or little. These are multi million pound companies with administrative staff earning probably hundreds of thousands between them. They simply should have known better, it was their mistake (even if it was only a seemingly minor mistake/oversight) That said! Imo... These are just honest mistakes and there is no reason for the efl not to show a bit of leniency when these things happen (because it doesn't benefit anybody to be so strict and pedantic with the rules) -

I just feel for the player. Just a shit show now, our clowns and the efl goons both fked up and there will be no real winner now, even if the loan goes through he will already have missed half a dozen games, then considering he's barely played first team football for a while he would likely need a few more weeks at least to get up to speed -
Jon Dahl Tomasson - Sweden coach

It's a shame because he seemed an excellent coach, just not a manager or tactician! -

Gone from having a bizarre 6 months of not being able to get a draw to now ONLY DRAWS. Could only happen at VenkysBrfc. I'll take it though!!! So far for his first season you cant really say JDT has done a poor job! especially considering what he has to work with and who he is working for!! -

I think having such an abrupt transfer deadline is pretty silly, its just built up the way it is to get more people glued to shite sports news on deadline day. I think there should be a cut of point for clubs to put offers in for players, but then say another day or so for final player negotiations and paper work to be completed. These are multi million pound business deals that can make or break a club/businesses fortunes, they need to be got right not rushed. -

So that's the illusive Sunhail Pisha in the middle looking like a kgb double agent that's just be rumbled And the shyster Swaggalot lost in a daydream (probably still not believing his luck to be in such a job for so long...) -

I'd love nothing more than to see the end of the era of the Premier league (and english football in general) being a multi billionaires playground. Especially the owners from ethically questionable parts of the world whose wealth has been built on all that is wrong in the world. Just all a money laundering paradise me feels. -

So sad and pathetic to see how Rhodes career has panned out for him since leaving us. He could of gone on to be one of the all time leading goalscorers outside of the Premier league if he'd stayed with us -

Still can't get my head around what a monumental fk up this was, just completely unprofessional and in the eyes of the footballing world it has set the clubs reputation back to what it was during the 'keanout' days. No self respecting footballer and their agent would touch us now. Back to signing shysters. -

Same as after jack walker passed and his entitled twerps didn't want to spend their hard inherited pennies on the club
