I think Hedges looks a decent squad player at least, I also think he could make a more consistent performer than Rothwell Yes it was dumb to pay a fee for him then not play him until our season was as good as over when we could have just waited and got him for free(unless another club came in for him with a better contract offer!) but that said I think if we where to sell him we'd easily recoup what we paid, so still potentially a safe investment

Was Ayala really unavailable due to injury that much last year? Just felt more like Mowbray preferred leninhan, van hecke and Wharton for the most part, would be like signing a new player if the coaches can find a better way of getting the balance right with his training so we can try and get 30+ games out of him, plus his experience and leadership will be invaluable now unless we sign a couple of seasoned pros for the first team (which seems unlikely with our current transfer policy)

They look a pretty shite club with nothing of any real note in their entire history! Frank Ribery is their current captain (at 39 years old) They do have 1 nice little rovers link though! Lars Bohinens Son plays for them on loan, he appears to be a decent young midfielder as well, sounds pretty identical in playing style to his dad according to wikis description

Personally id love him to sign a new bumper contract (with lots of extras ie. big bonuses and incentives) and let him have a release clause if a BIG club came in with a BIG BIG offer. id hate to see the lad go to some club just to warm their bench like Armstrong and become another of footballs forgotten men

I agree that I don't think either JDT or Broughton would have come here unless there was reasonable funds to play with The Lambert comparison wouldn't be the same this time around I don't think! Pretty sure Lambert only came on a very short contract or had some kind of release clause that allowed him to leave but without receiving any compensation, Where as far as I know jdt has committed to a standard 3 year contract, so I doubt he'd just walk away from that and lose out on up to 3 years salary

yes eventually! and it's not "a few" negativity spreads like a cancer if not kept in check and Tommason doesn't seem the kind to want to work in a constantly depressing workplace environment Complain about legit things like st prices that can still be changed, but average players leaving because they want more money.... fck em, none of those players could give a toss about you or the club and they're gone now. I'm more interested in seeing who we eventually bring in to replace them

Can't be doing with the doom mongers lately and the team will never get anywhere if some folk are constantly looking for someone to vilify at the club, The new manager needs everyone pulling in the same direction and an air of positivity about the club otherwise he'll be gone in months and WE WILL just end up with a Simon Grayson type manager.

Thoughts are lovely. But the facts are contracts have been on the table for them all season if not longer and negotiations have been on going ever since... The players clearly wanted a bumper salary and a nice fat signing on fee for themselves and their agents with being out of contract. Inconvenient bugger that all 3 contracts ended at the same time but that's just the way it is. Hopefully in a few weeks we'll have signed a few new players and all of this whinging will be forgotten about.
