  1. And he went to Ipswich and hardly played. I don't expect the club captain to jump ship as soon as he is faced with a bit of adversity, just knuckle down, get on with it and set an example.
  2. The area of the pitch we have to sort out first is the centre of midfield, for me the most important area of the pitch and we are weak there in both depth and quality. The Travis situation needs sorting personally I would move him on, him jumping ship when he did as club captain was unbecoming in my opinion. Garrett is no way near good enough for the Championship, he is League 2 standard at best. Buckley was going to be the saviour when he returned if you listened to some but it was another false dawn, time for people to accept that he is not good enough at this level. Obviously we shouldn't be offering Fleck any sort of extension and the other option in JRC is for me a better right back than midfielder and he is also our best right back. His legs have already gone that is why he has to play in a back 3/5. Which significantly limits us as a team.

  4. Never mind top tier football, he'd never even played 2nd tier football. I don't think there would be many queueing up to activate it
  5. McFadzean has been a good stop gap for the last few months but that is all he should be. He will turn 38 during next season and he limits the way that the team can play and set up. I fully expect him to be offered a new deal but I think a more forward thinking and more ambitious club would be looking elsewhere.
  6. That first goal yesterday was absolute class he has so much to do when the ball is whacked up to him and he makes it look easy.
  7. A clear pattern emerging with him his best 3 performances have been Leeds, Newcastle and today. All 3 games we were big underdogs and could set up defending very deep, keep 10-11 men behind the ball, rely on a bit of luck and hope Szmodics could do something on the break (which remarkably he did in all 3 games.) The problem is you can't set up like that on a regular basis in this league. You can't play like that at home to the likes of Millwall, Plymouth, Wednesday and 10 man Coventry. And if we don't want to be facing a similar challenge next season we need to find a way to play against and beat those sort of sides at home.
  8. On the flip side in his 16 games we have score just 14 goals and 5 of them came in one game. We have scored more than one goal in just two games. We have also failed to score in 7 games. Not to mention a dreadful points return of 14 points fr9m 15 league games and a failure to win a single home game.
  9. 50% of our attacking threat? Come off it Adam Wharton is a fine player but to suggest that he with 2 goals and 3 assist was 50% of our attacking threat when we have the leagues top scorer who has the most goals in a season for the club since Shearer is preposterous. Anyway if Wharton had played under Eustace his ability to impact a game would have been stunted by Eustace's dreadful cowardly football. The reasons Wharton developed so well and quickly under JDT was that JDT encouraged his players to play football and take some risks.
  10. Has he? We are closer to relegation now in terms of points and position than when he took over. And he has the same number of points from his first 15 league games as JDT did from his last 15. I'd say an example of and manager going in a steadying the ship is Neil Harris at Millwall who were 21st when he went in there and they are now sitting comfortably and how has Harris done that he's won 5 home games whilst our clown still hasn't managed one.
  11. Yet the returns have got no better under Eustace and we are now lower in the table and closer to relegation in terms of points than when he took over. So what does that say about Eustace and the the ship he is in charge of? And if we do achieve what you view as a success and stay up it will be thanks to the points accumulated by JDT where in the first 4 months of the season where he massively overachieved with this group of players.
  12. I remember people telling me that we had a very good January window.
  13. Perhaps because Mowbray had superior squads (and underachieved) and he was backed much more significantly in the market. Just look at what Mowbray brought in in his final season when we were around the top and what JDT got last season.
  14. And we've continued dropping under Eustace. It is only because of the overperformances that JDT got out of the players early in the season that we aren't already dead and buried.
  15. Drawing lines of the cheeks of someones ass rather sums VAR up.
  16. Only need help from one of them in order for us to stay up.
  17. If we survive then what we should be most grateful for is the outstanding work done by JDT in the first 4 months of the season because we have seen in the last 5 months just how much he overachieved with this group of players. And without those 4 months we would be no way near 50 points.
  18. Which is a complete waste of time with our forward players
  19. Law of averages you'd expect us to stay up but when you break the games down in isolation it looks a lot more precarious. Firstly I struggle to see us getting the point we need at Leicester which means we are relying on other games. I would be stunned if Sheffield Wednesday didn't get at least a point against a Sunderland team with 2 wins in 14. I'd probably favour Birmingham to beat Norwich. Norwich are not great away from home and may rest a few with them pretty secure in the top 6. Also Birmingham do seem to have a habit of last day survivals. With Hull still in with a chance of overtaking WBA I think them getting something at Plymouth is the best chance of a result going in our favour. But as Plymouth showed last time out at Home Park against Leicester they are no mugs down there.
  20. The legacy of Bob Lord lives on. Vile club.
  21. What a cracking game. Good result for us also Hull now have something to play for at Plymouth and Leicester can win the League before Saturday.
  22. The standard of goal keeping across the whole of the Championship is terrible
  23. It is a fact we have gone backwards since Eustace came in. When he came in we were 17th in the table and 8 points clear of relegation. Now we are 19th and 3 points clear of relegation and have not managed to register a home win under him.
