Mowbray: Stay or Go - A Poll

You should have said that then. You said he didn't get them promoted and he did. -
Mowbray: Stay or Go - A Poll

It may be a good point but you rather undermine it by making your first choice someone who has never managed before. Appointing someone who has never managed before is a far greater risk than appointing a manager who has had a many years of success in the Premiership. -

Just because a manager has been sacked it doesn't mean he is a bad manager. Souness was sacked in his two previous jobs before we appointed him. Sam was only available when we appointed him because Newcastle sacked him. I'd be ecstatic if we brought Chris Hughton in and he has been sacked 3 times in the last 10 years but the difference between him and Mowbray is that he has a very good Championship record and has only been sacked when he has been managing at the top level. Even the Mowbray the man you believe is the right man for the job has been sacked multiple times in his career. -

Show me a manager that is attainable for Rovers that hasn't been sacked a few times. -

All you seem to do is rubbish other people's suggestion. For example I suggested Rowett yesterday you for some bizarre reason rubbished that he would Leave Millwall for us. Yet today you are proposing him. You ask could Sparky (who has had a very good managerial career) do it without his normal coaching staff and then say that Damien Johnson a man who has never managed would be your first choice. Do you not see a slight contradiction here? Gus Poyet didn't fail at Brighton it was him who started them on the road that they are on now. He also did well at Bordeaux in his last job as well. I told you plenty of reasons yesterday why we could get Jokanovic. Evidently you ignored them Stendel wasn't sacked by Hearts -

I wasn't necessarily against giving Bowyer a go after he brought some stability to a ship that looked like it was sinking towards back to back relegations and had gone through 5 managers in a season. Also Bowyer like Mowbray did a good job of stabilising the club (although in his case he didn't need to take it down to do so) and getting us on the right track. But like Mowbray once he reached the top half of the Championship that was his ceiling and he didn't have the ability to take us any further and he ended up overstaying his welcome just like Mowbray has. -

What a fix La Liga is absolutely embarrassing the lengths that the officials are going to, to ensure that Real Madrid win the title. And it is so brazen as well they aren't even trying to hide it. -
Well if that the case why don't we say that Guardiola, Klopp and Alex Ferguson were approached because to use your logic you can't say they weren't. Dearie me even by your standards that is a poor response.
-
It's all about priorities isn't it. I'd argue that giving a very good manager say £2 Million a year on a 3 year deal would have benefitted the club more than spending £5 Million plus wages over 4 years on Sam Gallagher.
-
Being linked is rather different to being approached as you stated earlier. I'd have though you'd have worked that out by now.

McCarthy in 5 full seasons at Ipswich finished in the top half in 4 of those 5 seasons including 6th, 7th and 9th place finishes. I'd hardly call that keeping them just above the relegation zone. Also in 5 and a half years there he spent around the same amount that Mowbray spent on Sam Gallagher alone and he also regularly lost his best players something that hasn't happened to Mowbray. -
Walton makes mistakes every game.

That is how you are coming across by belittling our club and doing us down by calling us 'a town club in East Lancashire'. A long time ago and circumstances change, his stock was a lot higher in this country then (as was shown by the fact he got the Fulham job). Also we were selling our best players at the time and were under an embargo whilst he was managing in the Champions League. Also we don't really know with any certainty that he was approached for the. The same Tony Mowbray who talks about how difficult it is to sign players because other sides want replacements signed before they will let players go. Yet he did completely the opposite and let his keeper go before a replacement was brought in. Leaving us scrambling around and in the end bringing in a panic signing on loan who is no way near the required standard. Just another in along line of examples of Mowbray's incompetence in the transfer market. It beggars belief that some people want to give him another window to do even more damage.

If Jokanovic wants to manage in England again then he is going to need to get back managing over here soon or he will be forgotten about particularly as he is manging in Mickey Mouse football. If we were to approach Jokanovic we'd have to make him an attractive offer. Give him a wage that a manager of his calibre would warrant and back in the market him like we have done with Mowbray. Also if Jokanovic is a competitor then I am sure he'd much rather manage in a league like the Championship than some Mickey Mouse league where average attendance the last time they were published was 672. Also I don't expect him to live in a tent on Nuttall Street he can buy himself a nice house in Cheshire with the money he has made in Qatar. Honestly you are coming across as more of a Tony Mowbray fan than a Rovers fan. Constantly doing the club down and making out as though we should be thankful to have Mowbray here as how could a 'club in East Lancashire' possibly attract any better.
-
Brian Kidd was also highly rated coach working at the most successful club in the country. More often than not good coaches don't make good managers
-
Again you do our great club down why do you keep doing this?
-
In May of this year. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-8370705/Slavisa-Jokanovic-reveals-difficulty-banned-three-major-tournaments.html

Yet you have said that your choice for manager when Mowbray goes would be Damien Johnson who has never managed a club in his career. Yes that's right never. Also I'm not looking for a job but if Mr Waggott is reading this then I would consider an inteview.
-
Jokanovic has previously spoken of his desire to work in English football again. You seriously don't think that Blackburn Rovers could attract the Millwall manager? Why do you always have put this great football club down?
-
We heard all the same platitudes from him last year. As we have seen very often with Mowbray words are not backed up by action. On the topic of who to replace Mowbray with of out of work managers there is Chris Hughton, Mark Hughes, Mick McCarthy, Martin O'Neill, Roy Keane, Alan Pardew and Tony Pulis. Of in work managers who I think would be attainable there's Slavisa Jokanovic, Gary Rowett, Lee Bowyer and Gareth Ainsworth.
-
And this is exactly what I feared and why I wanted him sacked last season. If this happens it we be a repeat of 16/17 all over again.
-
Over the last two summers combined they have received getting on for £70 Million in transfer fees.
