  1. Shop window for some especially those who signed contracts which were due to expire and will be heading out. No need to spend mega on wages it’s the management of the budget you have. If you can chip a Smallwood, scrap a Gladwin and a Leutwiler you’ve probably 12 k there. Bradley Johnson although now 30 is free in the summer he’s made his money if we are playing a 4-5-1 or 4-3-3 again next year his left boot is exactly what we need to balance that 3 with two runner like Travis and Reed/Evans. Back room staff it’s vital in specific roles I think Raya has not kicked on, Benson looks too nice pally wise pre match is that the same in training? He replaced Phil Hughes! The same Hughes who Coyle hired at Bolton and Sacked Barber only for Jussi Jaskalninen to strike about. Its all infrastructure as much as academy equipment, scouting internationally so why neglect your best tools everyday.
  2. I said before he was offered it at the Wigan thumping wait till the summer before his new deal butwe gave him one.... Ok no one expected four years probably not even TM but if coyle was 200k a year then I imagine TM wasn’t far off to begin with and only marginal now increase per year wise, remember manager costs are excluded from FFP calculations if you change mid season anyways. Now here is my crux and it’s Mark Venus, I’m sure he’s a great guy and TM has been a team with the lad throughout his coaching career but he’s got to go. When two ex centre halves have the defensive record in all leagues as we do it’s something your both doing. And not well. That said when TM came in before our relegation we were all better at the back and his assistant was David Lowe the sacked/let go coach then back in now coaching again, Tony you’ve passion players and heart but your assistant is a clone you need someone else to spot what you can’t see
  3. 100 percent you are right there and I don’t disagree with a word of it what so ever. You’ve hit the nail on the head with destruction it was catastrophic and something this club will never recuperate from unless it ashamedly now follows a Burnley or WBA model to yo yo then consolidate to improve the infrastructure it’s neglected or get lucky and stick at the top table long enough to be flipped. The saving grace is Blackburn Rovers like every league team bar Blackpool is heavily relying on a benefactor and the bulk of club debt is owed to VLL, I.e the Raos. Staff numbers and head count haven’t really dwindled massively compared to our rivals if you use he accounts however this could be in twinged with anyone working for rovers even if in “India” all of a sudden but I’ve heard allot are still at Ewood and see many along ten years still there so it will be interesting to see Swansea and Trevor Burch’s impact of making 1/3 gone as that would take us under our levels. Local economy you are correct and it is something I feel strong about but it’s why BRFC is different to a Wigan or a Bolton etc. The town is the club and the club is part of the towns heart and that’s why it’s impacted as what you see, were not based on some industrial estate outside of town as you know! I know the loans without being a light hooverer it was me who brought it up live on radio at the supporters evening on radio lancs with the accounts in my hand, I asked at the time for what you’ve said above and to embarrass those making these decisions, additionally Bassini had just been banned for borrowing against future revenues at Watford so it was also grey ground hence Mr Chestons wary answer. I’ve no confidence in them what so ever but I can’t attack them for the last year, if they buy into Mowbray listen to Deloitte and KPMG and build a model I wish them well which makes us better and hopefully we can part ways sooner rather than later!
  4. I happen to think Lambert is a decent manager in all honesty. His issue with going for any job though is to his detriment and why imo he attracts critique so often. if he’d have hung out longer after wolves or even stoke he could have walked into a Forest type role this year. That said since Hughes and BFS I’ve never seen a team fitter, I’ve also never seen a progress in namely Hanley so quickly. His football was dour but organised. He seemed to coins respect from odd splits of the squad I.e Marshall. On his flaws and it grated me I felt Lambert had an ego issue he was bigger than anything, too stubborn with his subs to change a game (pne) and his PR to deflect a defeat or attention away from him calling out venkys (hooray) was for his own sake. He did ok here but I expected way better , I’d rather have Mowbray
  5. It’s like saying thanks for the dose I can’t get rid off, as long as I don’t enjoy myself to much I might get 10 years of what a happish mediocre form of life what it was like before I die. i get what your saying but we are where we are and well look at football these days, in venkys tenure it’s common there is far more of an issue of these foreign owners and who can afford a club. No wonder clubs stomped there feet on the tv deal we are the 6th most competitive league? Paid buttons! The gulf in that alone to the PL creates the wage rise and that’s why more and more owners are handing over to those with cash. They can’t afford it, it’s itv digitalagain Leeds - Sold twice? No assets. Derby - Sold twice? Now don’t own ground. Villa - Sold twice about to be hit with FFP Mboro - About to be FFP mortgaged all monies Gibson not sure anymore. Bolton - wow wigan - on verge of being on the market again Reading - Sold to a guy who failed a f&p test for hull now struggling. PNE - owe TRev 73 million and counting and they’re one of he best ran. Forest - Al Fawaz and a dodgy suspected shipping owner with curios links. Swansea - assets striped the club now flogging it as a balance sheet item as pure and simple as a hedge fund owner. We are were we are but i hate our owners but same time il respect them keeping Ewood staff employed and paid on time. We’ve swapped banks overdrafts and all sorts in7 years and never missed a pay check to staff. Might be terrible owners but they’re ours. Without sounding Stockholm home like id love nothing more than To go up with them next year and see them at Wembley. Collect most your cash, thanks for paying the bills and sell us on to a decent owner. Time they came to Ewood anyways for there baby
  6. Next Scotland manager needs to be Jack Ross and for five years. Almost the current managers have wasted the talent of Forrest, cairney etc. But we’ve Tierney and Mccrorie coming through now. But Scotland have some great talent in the ranks look at the lad mctominay at Utd. Takes a vision a plan and a way of ingrained long term thinking to systematically overhaul a system dismantled since Simith and Levein in my opinion. Pretty sure Steve Clark bar his outbursts and being manager of the year in the SPL this season either has family or business interest near Kilmarnock hence he took the job.
  7. Left them found it to tough living there and went to the airport with another lad and disappeared. Scum bag
  8. Raya needs a proper GK season coach is Fred barber still about or bobby mimms?
  9. I looked at Reeds celebrating Rothwell midweek and again on the club highlights channel, looked ecstatic I didn’t know whether it was a look of this is what we can do, show the faith type or generally just happily playing his football here. If saints stay up I’m not sure he’d be in their plans and I’m positive a top team failing to go up like a Leeds, Villa, Stoke, Derby type must be keeping an eye out. For me he’s a standout midfield player wise at this level who’s been criminally underused centrally and shunted wide half the time. He reminds me of a box to box player someone who can get back tackle, someone to bring a ball forward. No wonder his best games come in a 3 man midfield centrally where he’s not running for his partner I.e smallwood. A bit like our own Steven Reid/Gary Flitcroft type without the rocket, Steve sidwell type. Him box to box and a true Mokoena axe type behind and Someone to complement him with a bit more flair maybe Travis with his passing is the way forward. That said said I’ve stuck him behind 3 flair players with Travis centrally to get some width and creativity up top to cater for Graham. We need that stamina in the middle and drive. We ain’t going to beat relegated PL teams by either hoofing to Graham or triangles taka but we can be a steely team in the sheff Utd mode.
  10. To be fair sparky has championed this lad all year, league one he might be but looks the same ex united cut like Rothwell
  11. Alan Judge (I know 3rd time) has stood out for me at Ipswich his deal is up in the summer as only signed for Ipswich for six months. Reed Travis Dack Rothwell Judge that looks balanced to me for little outlay if he’s entertain coming back again
  12. Bidwell is a cracker of a shout to be fair if it’s true he’s on a free
  13. 100 percent this! How Reed isn’t the first name on the teamsheet ahead of these two is beyond me. Evans is classic played for a contract would happily see us ditch this waster. Mowbrays blind faith is it down to faith in the players or a lack of trust in his ability to build a squad?!
  14. Get rid! All this nice honest man stuff is pony. Guy got Waggott on board to make his own position stronger. He’s another taking the owners for a complete ride. 4 from 36 is it or 39?
  15. Bassini was one of Jeromes bidders before Venkys. Certainly came to Ewood a few times.
  16. What’s odd is Sir David Richards and John Williams are the board he wants to appoint.
  17. So Alan Nixon broke Bassini taking over at Bolton. The very same Laurence Bassini who Jerome Anderson gave 500k to buy Watford as confirmed in court. https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/football/8746833/bolton-takeover-bassini-high-court/
  18. The astounding thing is; both Venus and Mowbray are exactly that type of centre half by trade.
  19. He’s 20/21 without a game? His best spelll of continuous football was Salford in the conference north or counties league. Talent or no talent he couldn’t get a run at port vale and the lad needs to get on with his career. Hope he does well but a good tough decision by both club and player.
  20. On a free so I’d imagine he will he’d to Villa or Sheff Weds.
  21. I’d keep Samuel. Lad worked his nuts off last summer then got crocked, deserves the summer at least.
  22. The football was genuinely better under Coyle it’s that turgid watching Rovers at the moment.
