There centre halves look to fixed, static. movement of a striker will open them up and get space between their centre halves perfect for Rothwell to run through. I don't think tactics is Mowbray's forte though.

Wouldnt take Palmer off bar the Reed and Rothwell hes been our best player. He's height is handy and looks probably the best player on the pitch bar WBA's Barnes on the ball. He's showing Dack up.

Jim you’ll know better than me but Mboro used to be decent under TM; shoestring signings people like George Friend, Daniel Ayala etc brought in as top defensive players but they used to drop of mid season as a team. In your opinion are we not recruiting well enough at the back? Are TMs tactics coming short? Or something else?

Recent few games he’s not gone at it as much it’s as if he’s carrying a niggle, But half hearted closing down whilst Dack, Reed and Benno flag themselves is of no use it gives the opposition time. He’s only playing 60 mins, he’s gotta run himself in the ground for me.

What one game comparison? Villa and Leeds was £29/31 quid to watch before WAT (Waggot Added Tax). 20 is plenty for the PL away teams but we are paying high 20s or 30 quid to watch Rovers at Ewood? Think it’s pricey personally.

Bereton regardless of fee that’s not his fault, he should however be able to close down and generally run his balls off, he’s not working hard enough on the pitch, neither is Graham. We looked at our best with a high pressing intensity Leeds and last nights first half. Back on BB At Leeds he won a free kick deep into injury time by going down, unlike Gallagher at PNE, I appaulded that, Minutes before he ran the ball out of play for a throw in something so basic. Seen a few suggest he did okay last night. He didn’t, was unlucky with the sitter but he was woeful like the other 10 in the second half. He’s struggling to get a ball to stop bouncing near his feet and his lack of pace is evident, that composure just ain’t there. He’s not a natural in front of goal for me. I’m not sure yet if he’s just unfit, lacking strikers scoring goals confidence or just mentally not sharp enough. WBA is a free hit so saying the above is give him one last go and tell him to put a shift in. Love Rothwell but despite his drive I think he’s better suited to the centre where he can run with the ball. He’s not quick enough for the wing and seems to hesitate once there.

Looked a bit fragile at centre half. Maybe joining the game didn't help as opposed to starting but seems a bit flat footed at CB. Don't think he reads the game the same as if his instincts are not those of a centre half.

Thing is with Dack looking like a break is due or being morphed into a CF. Kasey Palmer is the closest thing to replacing him with.

Dack kept dropping deep all game tonight, at Leeds he did the same. Partly to get the ball and carry it out. We place a not so speedy 5.10 lad upfront, who's no experience at all there and remove him from being on the ball. Bizarre
