  1. Lewis Cook is the best player we sold to the massive Bournemouth Great player in the making.
  2. Just love this league when it's going well. I thought we were very comfortable yesterday. The keeper was at fault for the goal. Yeah the Prem is where the money is but we have been there and done that and Europe. I really love the Championship. So competitive and 14 teams could end up in the top 6. Pushed now I would say in no order. Leeds,Derby, Middlesbrough,Nottingham Forest will be in the mix. Villa will push on. Hopefully Rovers can stay with the pace. I honestly think Sheffield United will fall away. West Brom also.
  3. Apologies for the Leeds@Wigan posts. I was ruined last night. Starting at 9am isn't a usual Sunday these days. I think the end tally was 11 pints of premium strength lager. 2 bottles of peroni and half a bottle of shiraz when I got home. Mrs CP didnt appear to be my friend this morning. Her problem. Miserable going through the change 51 year old whos favourite line is " all your bloody interested in is football and drink " yeah you're not wrong sweetcheeks. If she actually knew what I was interested in she would get a proper cob on. Emma at work has lovely feet. Toes you would love to suckle on. My lads current bird leaving her worn underwear on his bedroom floor when I go in. Her sister who is younger and always looks at me with devious wrong un eyes. If only she knew. Good job I love her. Go easy lads.
  4. Rovers better than Wigan. We did them easy. Ormskirk at 9am
  5. Easy. .Good drink in Ormskirk. Soft @#/?.
  6. Can't be much longer on the bus. Through Hoghton and Higher Walton. Trains are a joke. Only over your side though. Problems we had getting to Blackburn and same on Sunday at Wigan. Only a few miles between Blackburn and Preston. I'd be getting 3 mates together and paying a young lad to drive you there and stop off for a booze in Bamber Bridge en route. Put a tenner in the tank and give him a tenner each. He's got £30 in his pocket and you have a nice booze. Done this loads of times at Huddersfield Bradford and Barnsley over the years. Money and stress/time saving tips courtesy of CP.
  7. Sad but interesting read that mate. I will be seeing my mum on Sunday as I am over for Wigan and will show her this. She was born in 1941 and started going on Ewood with my Grandad when she was a small girl around 5 or 6 so will remember this. You should try and find his grave. Thanks for sharing.
  8. Aye that's right. Think it was 2002. Too many decent size towns are now called Cities. Ridiculous imo. A City should have a population of at least 300,000 people or a proper cathedral. Preston is good sized town with decent shopping and boozers. I think the new shopping ctr in Blackburn is better since its been done up. Blackburn has a better market. Preston far better for boozers. Burnley offers nothing. Shit shopping shit boozers. Even lost its 24 hour AE department to Blackburn and has a BB postcode. Burnley to Blackburn is like Chorley to Preston.
  9. Backwards town. Strange with a massive student population.
  10. Think it's £37. Ask Father Christmas for a ticket.
  11. Thinking about it Preston is a good drinking town. You probably won't get chance but there is a Sam Smiths pub on Church Street heading towards the Prison called The Blue Bell. Plenty ales and the delightful Taddy Lager retailing around £2 a pint. Peter Sayer the ex Welsh international football ran it for many years.
  12. This. The Angel on Lune Street is a good starter around 11 am. Some decent boozers on Friargate. Black Bull is a traditional ale house. The Britannia just round the corner sells proper scrumpy on draught at about 6.6% or did. Few more on the way down to the Adelphi. Couple more around the Uni. Ship and Giggles and Ferret. 4 or 5 on Plungington at the bottom end. Then I'd be jumping in an Uber. Sadly as mentioned all the pubs around Deepdale have gone apart from the Labour Club. The Garrison ,The Summers ,The Deepdale and The Skeffington have all long gone. Na we have a good swig as mentioned above then jump in a cab. You're lucky it's a proper kick off time. Rendezvous around 11 as you can easily slide 8-10 down the hatch after a full English.
  13. Seems the odd sub 20k crowd at Elland Road recently is against you lot ? No question our support drops off when served up some of the dross we have over the last few mental chairman and constant sacking of managers. We have been a joke in all honesty. Definitely a different feeling about the place these days and hopefully a bit of stability moving forward. When Ken Bates was in charge I probably did more aways than homes. Like a lot I refused to give the corrupt old tosser any money. Cellino wasn't much better. Different manager every 12 weeks. Beaked off his nut most of the time. These last 14 years apart from 3 or 4 have been laughable for the most part. Dave Hockaday to be the icing on the cake. Had some shite walk through that door.
  14. Leeds thin on the ground at Elland Road ? Really ?
  15. Strange league eh lads ? Last week you beat us well and again we are top and you are mid table. Big piss up for me tomorrow. Good mate passed last week. 50/60 out on it tomorrow afternoon and so glad it's a 5.30 ko. Good luck tomorrow at WBA. Go lucky lads.
  16. Scousers don't consider themselves as Lancastrians on the whole. They much prefer the term Merseysiders. I have a very good friend from Liverpool who I asked about this and he just shrugged it off as them being unique or some other nonsense. I pointed out that Lancashire CCC play at Aigburth. I just think they see themselves as different and that is how they like it. Also I don't think they want any connection with Manchester. Southport is a strange one. They have a PR postcode yet are officially in Merseyside and are policed by Merseyside. Greater Manchester is in my opinion still Lancashire. Merseyside isn't.
  17. Good drink before the game. We behaved ourselves on Livesey branch road. We drank in the Moorgate and Brown Cow with Rovers. No bother. Good luck Rovers going forward. We have no bother with you. #ALAW.
  18. Biesla he comes from Argentina He knows exactly what we need Jannson at the back Bamford in attack Taking us to the Premier League
  19. Thanks mate. I agree about Rovers. Really impressed with your performance today. At it all the time and didn't give us a minute. You have a top manager who knows the score. He sent you out with a plan and it worked a treat. Leeds had no complaints in the first half. You bossed us. 2nd half was better from us but never really at it enough. Hernandez made a difference. I just hope the locals can see that you have a team again worthy of support.
