  1. Playing bottom of the league at home.... Inspirational stuff Tony. “We’ll train again (on Friday) and then pick a team for the weekend and see if we can get the three points.”
  2. He's back. Ben Gladwin. Lyca new signing. https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/news/politics/quicktest/18052021.mixed-injury-news-rovers-ahead-barnsley-visit/ I have a terrible feeling there are going to be several January outgoings but zero incomings. Maybe just a LB on 6 month loan.
  3. Defenders are coming.... https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/news/politics/quicktest/18052021.mixed-injury-news-rovers-ahead-barnsley-visit/ So Nyambe and Williams out. Meaning the likely back 4 of Bennett RB, Lenihan, Toshin, Bell LB Lenihan surely isn't going play 90 mins... if he doesn't break down. 3 at the back surely not a viable option with the 2 who are out. God Help Us.
  4. cool everything fine and dandy then. ?
  5. Reading the latest fans jury column it is clear that only Paul Yates is capable of writing things as they actually are. Give him the job. The others are just in a blue and white cloud cuckoo land, as was the recently departed incumbent columnist. Problem is that many of our fans only read the LT and take each story as fact, as though it was written by Peter White. They need a good dose of reality, not wrapping up in blue and white cotton wool. Club is fucked. Mowbray is useless. It needs sorting out.
  6. so with Williams out and Lenihan back in to partner Toshin. Nyambe RB and Bennett to LB ? or Bennett RB, Nyambe dropped, Bell LB or Nyambe RB, Bennett into midfield, Bell LB ?
  7. it can get worse. Stanley looking like relegation back to their natural level. Then the kids will fancy PL footy up the road
  8. On paper the next 4 are far more winnable than the last 4, including 3 of them being at home. Failure to get 9 points minimum would probably see us bottom 3, ye don't need to downplay the expectations of Rovers playing crap sides at home.
  9. 8600 ST holders 600 3 game tickets 1000 walk ons handful of away fans Could be the lowest attendance of the season (before the Brentford game).
  10. "Around 600" of the 3 game tickets sold. Rich Sharpe told me that the sales target was 1500 so less than half.
  11. Fans Forum meeting minutes https://www.rovers.co.uk/contentassets/d47edf0f19cd47dea3a73e898f8da69c/ff-minutes-5.11.19.pdf
  12. Rich making a good attempt at filling the inernational break void with 1000 pointless words about Mowbray's 1000 pointless days in charge. Problem is the headline says we are a different Rovers from when he took over. No we aren't. We have a different flavour of useless picking the team but otherwise we are exactly the same. What is the latest on the Lenihan and Williams injuries? Is Nyambe back at Brockhall from international duty? What have the players been doing this past fortnight? What is Mowbray's points target for these next 4 easy games? Why has the club postponed the supporters consultation meeting from Nov to Jan?
  13. The likeness is uncanny.... Sheriff Waggott of Blackburn...
  14. 190 in BBE for 11 games. 12 games if you buy this month. circa £15 per game. Huddersfield is 174 anywhere for 11 games rising to 234 for 15 games and whatever you want in between. They are just out the PL so good attendances / atmosphere, new manager, results picked up and new feelgood factor. Price isn't bad. The football is bad. Price isn't great either considering we need to reverse the destruction and bad feeling of the last 9 years and we are currently terrible and sliding towards the bottom 3. If it was the 170 Riverside price for anywhere there would be more takers.
  15. Danny Graham was asked what he thought of Armstrong, Gallagher & Brereton....
  16. https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/news/politics/quicktest/18039148.williams-set-scan-rovers-defender-bullish-mood/ Defenders are coming
  17. Just managing your expectations in advance of him playing LB
  18. It's the fans forum meeting on Monday. I am sure this is on the agenda and will all be sorted out by then. Although last time they hid the minutes from us for about 5 weeks to avoid scrutiny on the ST numbers.
  19. Oh Lenny....those voices in your head.
  20. By his own admission / posts, he only does the job to wind folk up, sell advertising and stop Paul Yates getting the gig. What a super fan & super columnist rolled into one [insert word here].
  21. Hopefully they bring this out at the same time as the traditional half season ticket. See which sells best. We already know the answer of course. Hopefully they will discuss it at the Fans Forum meeting on Monday. Neither will happen because they have already done all they can.
  22. Lots of focus on the physical positions on the pitch. Very critical position which needs filling is that of Leader. The one who guides these lads during the game, when it's getting difficult and with game management. We simply don't have anyone.
  23. https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/football/rovers/news/14774858.they-have-no-intention-of-selling-the-club-report-on-blackburn-rovers-supporters-consultation-meeting/ MANAGER APPOINTMENT COYLE admitted he met Balaji Rao after being interviewed for the job by two Venky’s representatives. He said: “I met with Suhail and one other Indian gentleman, advisors to the family, and on the back of that I met with Mr Bala, and on the back of that I was offered the job.” Cheston added: “We completed the interview process at the time and then I went on holiday and I was abroad when we became aware of Owen. The process had to continue without me.”
