  1. Not something he is known for Against Everton, De Neve actually looked like hie could put in a decent whipped corner, however I've seen little of that in the other friendlies following that one
  2. been 9 for a couple of years from the summer of 2023- https://www.efl.com/news/2023/june/changes-to-championship-substitutions/
  3. If that's the case (I have no idea so will accept you at your word), and it is legally possible to do so in the UK/Europe, then I would love to see it in football here too
  4. Completely agree, At a bare minimum, they should have to publish what the guaranteed amount is, along with possible maximum amount, & sell on % Also think the same should apply for player wages (as far as it can) Probably restricted in that can't legally force clubs to disclose individual player wages/bonuses etc, I imagine that would infringe data protection or similar of the individual players. But it could be possible for them to be "forced" to publish an amalgamated basic wage amount etc (accounts currently only have to show a wage for all club staff including directors, tea ladies etc)
  5. Following his relegation wage reduction, he might possibly be at that level If he wants to maintain his earnings from last season, Rovers will be probably be out of the running
  6. I think you will be disappointed, its 9 subs on the bench these days for a start πŸ™‚
  7. This really does sound like a scam, they list about 100 cases a day don't they and only see about 20? There is a cost of around 25K each time the case goes to court, regardless of whether it is heard, which racks up over time. lol The comments under the article however, are mind boggling, it's as though Stockholm syndrome is contagious, & reaching epidemic levels
  8. I had the figures wrong, it was Β£1M, so even more mental
  9. It serves the purposes of all clubs and the media National media get to sensationalise amounts and get more clicks etc Selling club & buying club (and their local journos) both get to claim they got a great deal Accounts appear circa 2 years later, with all transfer fees amalgamated into one, so it is still murky even then. Even for loan deals, some of the loan fees are eye-watering and not disclosed. Hull were meant to pay over Β£500K Β£1M for Louie Barry for half a season, even though he had never played above League 1 level previously. I think that amount was only revealed as Hull didn't pay it in time Edit - I stand corrected, it was a Β£1M loan fee for what was in essence a 4 month loan
  10. With the exception of free transfers, every player that everyone signs is for an undisclosed fee
  11. I would think its possibly more a historically smaller club mentality... Its expected that the better players will move on to something better Wait until all our fans are not old enough to remember pre Venky Rovers & our fans may be waving players off whilst wishing them the best too "Well it is the mighty Wrexham, they are a top half Premier League team and qualified for Europe don't you know. How can little National League Rovers compete with them?"
  12. Could be either, but as things currently stand, assuming everyone is fit, I would much prefer to see Henriksson as a "right winger" than anyone else who we currently have on our books. I would also have Kargbo on the left ahead of De Neve/Hedges. But suspect that this weekend at least, we will see De Neve on the left and Hedges on the right
  13. Agree with all of that, I however also think that Gestede knowingly (I will assume knowingly as, if it is unknowingly then I would question his intellect) provides himself as a human shield (I imagine its the main portion of any performance review) for the one who is signing off on these decisions & cutting the budget
  14. It would certainly seem to go against the grain of what they are trying to do (I could understand it more if his fee was more in the McLoughlin range). Especially when his injury history is considered
  15. Just for context, those debut 4 goals were against Hong Kong, who are rated 147th in the world rankings (below the Faroe Islands but above Moldova for reference). The other goal he scored was against South Korea, who are decent But yes, I agree, he cant have been that bad. Japan are a reasonably strong national team these days, so for him to be called up,would mean he is likely at least at a certain standard
  16. No https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/tyrhys-dolan/leistungsdaten/spieler/647435/plus/0?saison=2024
  17. Cozier-Dubbery wasn't πŸ˜‰ In the minds of 2 managers/head coaches at Rovers last season
  18. unexpectedly long contract Potentially up until 2030 https://www.rovers.co.uk/news/2025/august/06/axel-arrives-/
  19. We also have to consider that the idiots that own & run Rovers are not the same people who founded & built up Venkys in the first place. They inherited it from their parents The V H Group is controlled by the family of Dr. B. V. Rao. His daughter, Anuradha Desai, is serving as group chairperson since his death in 1996.[2] His sons B Balaji Rao and Venkatesh Rao sit on the board of the group's companies
  20. That would probably be about a 60% reduction of wages for our starting midfield, Pasha will be rubbing his hands with glee at the thought
  21. negates risk for both parties, lower initial cost for Rovers, obviously with more to pay if it works out, and his current team get a decent amount if/when he outgrows us/Venkys Its, dare I say it..... sensible
