  1. Fixed that for you ๐Ÿ˜‰ Full story, & link below, pertinent parts in bold https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/25365279.blackburn-rovers-transfer-business-gives-moussa-baradji-clue/ Blackburn Roversโ€™ move from Axel Henriksson will put the brakes on any deal for Moussa Baradji, at least for now. The 23-year-old midfielder will be the next signing through the door at Ewood Park after a deal was agreed with Swedish top-flight club GAIS. He will join Lewis Miller in bolstering Valerien Ismaelโ€™s squad before the season opener against West Brom. Henrikssonโ€™s arrival will further add to a well-stacked set of midfield options. Sondre Tronstad, Lewis Travis, Sidnei Tavares and Adam Forshaw are all competing for minutes whilst John Buckley remains at the club but is seemingly not in Ismaelโ€™s plans A deal for Baradji has remained on the table despite the move stalling after an issue was flagged in his medical. The player and Rovers staff were incredibly disappointed and were very keen to bring Baradji to Ewood Park. However, the move for Henriksson will prevent Rovers from signing Baradji, at least in the short term. That is due to the club now using all of their ESC slots, which are needed for players who donโ€™t meet the GBE work permit threshold following Brexit. Each Championship club gets four players and if then more than 50% of Championship minutes, they become eligible for a full regular GBE permit in the following transfer window. Rovers have Balazs Toth, Exause Mafoumbi and Augustus Kargbo occupying their ESC slots, plus Herniksson when he signs. By the January transfer window, itโ€™s reasonable to expect that Toth will have met the criteria to convert, considering he is going to be number one. Kargbo could too, though that is less likely. Either way, that would only be a benefit in the January transfer window and beyond. The only way for Blackburn Rovers to free up an ESC slot this summer would be to sell one of those players. A loan move is not sufficient as the player still need to have a permit to be registered in England. So, realistically, unless Rovers were to sell Mafoumbi, a deal for Baradji or any other player that doesnโ€™t hit the GBE criteria is off the table.
  2. You seem to have disregarded the content of my previous post and just replied to something else
  3. 48 times by myself ๐Ÿ™‚ You are most welcome, I will endeavor to say it again when it is next relevant

  5. I think very few, if any, have written players off before seeing them play. What has happened, is people have noticed patterns over years, looked at the experience/careers/price/etc of players going out, vs payers coming in, and come to a conclusion. I said a few days ago that in most cases, any players brought in are likely to be an immediate downgrade on any they replace. Now this doesn't mean that any new signings are going to be rubbish, and it doesn't mean that they wont improve, and possibly even given time, be better than those who they replaced. But it is a logical step, seeing as we are in general replacing experienced Championship performers with younger players from overseas
  6. I will make a further prediction When Liverpool replace Salah, that will also be a downgrade However, his replacement will still be good, probably one of the best Both of those things can be true simultaneously
  7. maybe I should have put "disappointed" in inverted commas?
  8. If, after 2 days of waiting , we don't get an Axel F (Henriksson) Crazy Frog related reveal, I will be disappointed
  9. instead it all goes to his partner. As I said, he is quite good
  10. Also the figures quoted in the media tend to be if and when every single additional add on has been achieved (promotion, international caps, 50+ league appearances etc). Bigger numbers sound more sensational and exciting so get more click/sell more papers etc The initial fee will likely be at most, 60% of any quoted fee, and that will be split over 3 years
  11. Most loans (especially the cheaper ones for clubs with no money to pay huge loan fees) happen at the end of the window once the parent clubs have run out of more lucrative options of where to send their players
  12. Don't think we are getting one At most, we might end up with a Cozier-Duberryesc loan to come off the bench to change things up
  13. Henriksson is an attacking midfielder, not a deep lying one Our Scandinavian forum members over the weekend also thought he will likely play as one of the 3 behind the striker
  14. Specifically states "move from Axel Henriksson will put the brakes on any deal for Moussa Baradji, at least for now." "unless Rovers were to sell Mafoumbi, a deal for Baradji or any other player that doesnโ€™t hit the GBE criteria is off the table." Which is exactly what we were saying on here yesterday
  15. Ayala ๐Ÿ˜‰ Look what happened to our results in the spell he was out of the team in the 2nd half of that season Hyam isn't a bad player, he is quite good, but he is not an organiser. So its no surprise that our defence looks more solid when we have a Batth/Fadz/Ayala in there too
  16. and when that day happens, Rovers via social media will claim it a victory for our expanded scouting network
  17. Swedish guy will play "right wing" I think, but narrower Out of possession Ohashi De Neve Cantwell Henriksson Tronstad Travis/Baradji Ribeiro McLoughlin Hyam Miller Toth In Possession Ohashi Cantwell Henriksson De Neve Tronstad Travis/Baradji Miller Ribeiro McLoughlin Hyam Toth
  18. Impossible! Sales do not impact the budget ๐Ÿ˜‰
  19. Yep, normally you might manage to sell him to a newly promoted team, but given all 3 of them look stronger than usual, then best they can manage may be a loan with an option to a Huddersfield/Stockport etc
  20. Probably spacing out all the incommings, as it will be our last one until Travis is sold late in the window, and we have a flurry of teenage loanees arrive on deadline day
  21. In which case, I blame a lack of coffee, and your mind being sharpened by watching Indian court case drama
  22. In all fairness, the question was do players the Scottish league ever do well in England Fair to say that Tugay might have been the best of those, (maybe Van Dijk runs him close?) The fact that 95% of players from the Scottish league are not particularly good doesn't change that
