  1. Three of our released U21s have now found new teams in the National League North (6th tier) Lewis Bell moved to Marine after a loan spell there last season Rhys Doherty is now at Kings Lynn Town Paul Murphy-Worrell has moved to Southport, which seems an odd one as they already have Dan Pike at right back Adam Caddick is now at Warrington Rylands in the 7th tier
  2. Sometimes it doesn't even need "decent cash" to be on offer
  3. U21s are playing Ashton Utd at 1pm this afternoon. Jordan Eastham could play against us after signing permanently for them in the summer
  4. Wrexham is closer to his family apparently 😉

  6. Main issue Wrexham may find is actually bedding everyone in. Might take them a few months to get them firing. Their squad from last season isn't too dissimilar from the one that Rovers smashed in the cup a couple of years back, obviously they have/are signing quality players, with experience, but it seems a but late in the window for them to mount a real charge at the top end of the table Think they will end up in the top 8 or 10
  7. Cant see a vast amount of resale value there either 😉
  8. What a terrible lack of vision from Wrexham! How on earth are they expecting to develop him and then sell him on to someone higher up the food chain for a profit whilst furiously doggy paddling to keep their heads above water in the lower reaches of the division
  9. May as well as have our captain take a dump or the boots of his opposite number whilst we are at it 😉
  10. He is not at the level of a fully fit Pereira (assuming gets back to his previous levels), & James Justin & Van Ewijk are on at least a similar level to Brittain. But he is right up there
  11. Especially if he is planning to return to Norway,
  12. You might be right now I look again, edited my previous post as to not dash any more hopes
  13. You should normally be able to buy a match pass for £10 from there From memory, the option to do so may not appear until about 24 hours before the game
  14. I think in a year or so (when Travis is gone), he will eventually replace him in the midfield 2, but initially he will play further forwards to ge used to playing at a higher level & being much more disciplined than he currently has to be In the meanwhile, his attributes make him look capable of covering an attack minded right back getting forwards, whilst also offering a bit more guile and vision than Hedges Just my hypothesis of course
  15. He looks like an athletic playmaker rather than a box to box to me, so I could see him in either of those roles in Ismaels system
  16. According to this post on Rovers Instagram, the game will be on streamed (presumably for free) Rovers YouTube channel Edit, - apparently its just the training video 😞
  17. I would be amazed if we get anyone in who is immediately better than who they replace Not saying that any new signings will be rubbish, or that they will not potentially be better than who they replace in the long run, but every signing will initially be worse, (and cheaper) than their predecessors
  18. We really are tinpot these days aren't we?
  19. 1. Winners of the Championship Ipswich 2. Automatic promotion (runners-up) in the Championship Southampton 3. Four Play off semi-finalists in the Championship Leicester Birmingham Sheff Utd Middlesbrough 4. Three relegated sides from the Championship Sheff Wed Hull Oxford 5. Where will Rovers finish in the Championship? 14th 6. First Championship club to change manager (after the season starts) Hull 7. Winners of the Premier League Arsenal 8. A notable wild card prediction of something that will happen in the Rovers universe during the season (e.g. Donald Trump visits Ewood Park) Lewis Miller boomerangs go on sale in the club shop
  20. If that was the case, we might have seen it for at least a minute or 2 in pre season Much like last season, when Rovers have the ball, our left back will tuck inside and our right back will bomb forwards, making a back 3 when in possession, but a back 4 when out of possession
  21. Everything that has been said & written (now that Jackson has clarified his earlier waffle) implies that the 2 or 3 is before any outgoings the 2 is apparently an attacking midfielder & a right winger (I am assuming Baradji is seen as one of these) the possible 3rd being a centre back, which they by all accounts have not yet decided upon if they need or not. Although I suspect that in true Venkys style, because Miller can also play at centre back, they will no longer be looking for a centre back With any further outgoings meaning that number is added to (eg Miller from Hibs to replace Brittain)
  22. What a preposterous notion! That will never be sustainable 😉
  23. https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/25355831.blackburn-rovers-blow-middlesbrough-return-brittain/ Middlesbrough are advancing in talks to sign Blackburn Rovers star Callum Brittain with a growing expectation that a deal will be struck, The Lancashire Telegraph understands. The Teessiders, along with Derby County, saw a bid knocked back three weeks ago, which led to Brittain refusing to play against Accrington Stanley. However, Brittain has reintegrated into the squad since and featured in the last three pre-season friendlies against Everton, Qatar SC and Elche. He was in with the group as expected on Wednesday for training and an internal media day, whilst Thursday is a routine day off for the players before they travel to Holland. Rovers have been insistent that Brittain will not leave unless their valuation is met. Whilst Boro's interest had cooled, they have now stepped up talks this week with an agreement growing closer, as reported first by journalist Pete O'Rourke. Brittain's departure would be a major blow to Rovers, just more than a week out from the season opener at West Brom. Though they have immediate cover in the form of Ryan Alebiosu and Kristi Montgomery, fans would expect to see a more experienced and proven right-back at the level to replace Brittain. The Lancashire Telegraph understands that Rovers have compiled a list of potential replacements for those players who could leave this summer. That is standard at any club and it's important that Blackburn have contingency plans throughout the squad. Cody Drameh was a player that Rovers enquired about earlier in the transfer window but he is not thought to be an active target. The club did not progress with talks after that first contact and aren't expected to. In terms of arrivals, The LT understands Rovers haven't made an offer to sign Saudi Arabian winger Marwan Al-Sahafi. The 21-year-old's name has been constantly mentioned in reports linking him with a move to Ewood Park. Al-Sahafi was a player Blackburn Rovers discussed in May, but nothing advanced, as reported at the time. The forward was then spotted in Manchester last month, further fuelling the expectation he could be a Rovers player. However, that had nothing to do with a potential move to Blackburn and it's unknown why he was in the UK. Rovers have not held any discussions or progressed with a deal for Al-Sahafi since initial enquiries were made in May. Similarly, the club are not pursuing a deal for young Manchester City centre-back, Max Alleyne. Rovers' had reportedly made an enquiry this week but he is not thought to be someone on their radar. Watford are reportedly the frontrunners for his signature. As reported, right-wing and attacking midfield are priorities. The club have not ruled out additions in the loan market but would prefer to sign players permanently in a bid to develop assets. There is no further development on a deal to sign Moussa Baradji from Yverdon Sport FC Rovers are looking at potential centre-back options after Hayden Carter's injury. Scott Wharton also has to be managed and so Valerien Ismael has admitted that another defender could arrive.
  24. Even if le was bought and then loaned out to League 2 for 6/12 months, to bridge the jump in divisions it would make sense
