  1. True (ish) Travis was with Liverpool until 2014 (which apparently was the season he turned 17, so it looks like Liverpool would be due 2% of the full transfer value rather than the 2.5% that the twitter account states) Disclaimer - Sunday morning maths is not my strong point, so below is the working πŸ˜‰ Though if anyone is lazy, WilsdenRover with likely be along to check my work sooner rather than later πŸ˜‰ Thanks in advance Wilsden πŸ™‚ (Edited from Liverpool 1.5% to 2% following Wilsdens fact check πŸ˜‰ ) The distribution of solidarity payments is as follows: 5% of the transfer fee is set aside for solidarity payments. This 5% is then distributed among the clubs based on the period the player was registered with them, calculated from the season of the player’s 12th birthday until the season of their 23rd birthday as follows: – Season of 12th birthday: 5% (i.e. 0.25% of total compensation); – Season of 13th birthday: 5% (i.e. 0.25% of total compensation); – Season of 14th birthday: 5% (i.e. 0.25% of total compensation); – Season of 15th birthday: 5% (i.e. 0.25% of total compensation); – Season of 16th birthday: 10% (i.e. 0.5% of total compensation); – Season of 17th birthday: 10% (i.e. 0.5% of total compensation); – Season of 18th birthday: 10% (i.e. 0.5% of total compensation); – Season of 19th birthday: 10% (i.e. 0.5% of total compensation); – Season of 20th birthday: 10% (i.e. 0.5% of total compensation); – Season of 21st birthday: 10% (i.e. 0.5% of total compensation); – Season of 22nd birthday: 10% (i.e. 0.5% of total compensation); – Season of 23rd birthday: 10% (i.e. 0.5% of total compensation) The distribution is proportional, ensuring that clubs that contributed more to the player’s development receive a larger share.
  2. but not a striker, because that wouldn't make any sense would it?
  3. normally if it is available on a channel in the USA apparently Paramount +
  4. It is available to view in Italy if that helps
  5. As I mentioned with Batty last week. Duru is 20 years old, far too young to be written off, so a loan move or 2 would make sense. In which case, having 2 other right backs is the sensible thing to do. Especially considering when if one of them performs to a decent level, then he will be sold as soon as a close to acceptable bid is received However at the current time, Rovers are selling off anyone rather than offering new contracts, so sense does not come into it
  6. Looking at that 11, the 3 most likely captains (based on them having the armband in the past) are Tronstad, Hyam & Hedges (he had it for the 2nd eleven in a pre season under JDT which I will admit is pushing it) All 3 of those are in the last year of their contracts and Rovers looking to ship them out, so I suppose Cantwell is the next most senior player unless we gave the captaincy to a new signing Terrifying
  7. The last 3 seasons. The team finishing 4th from bottom in the Championship has attained at least 49 points And most seasons, you don't have Birmingham & Wrexham coming up and throwing millions at it
  8. We have to subtract some points for the central midfield options at the time of of Lowe, Evans, Guthrie & Akpan though Id prefer Tronstad playing on his own vs all 4 of those πŸ˜‰
  9. This is purely hypothetical on my part. Durus current contract runs out at the end of the season (although he does have a year option). Given that Duru has declared his national allegiance to the USA, & that Rovers have issues with extending contracts at the best of times, is it possible that Duru has made it clear that he does not want to sign a contract extension and prefers a move to the USA to keep himself in view for the National team? Which would possibly explain a reluctance to use Duru at right back for the first team, and laos Durus possible next move away on loan?
  10. This is one of those rare occasions when you can both claim victory simultaneously πŸ˜‰ If we were paying the sort of wages that Chaddy suggests there, then we would not have an inability to offer competitive contracts
  11. Nope, although I suppose its possible he may be with U21s on Monday? Especially if rumours are true that Mafoumbi has now been released
  12. U18s play Newcastle today at 12:30. Eze starts, Joseph on the bench lost 3-0 Match report
  13. it says "loan" However, if it is a loan with a view to a permient, , then it seems a bad deal
  14. If Pashaa is not a director & therefore his remuneration is not covered in those figures, I wonder just how much of the rest of our wage bill he takes up? I wonder if the answer to that question may also show why our total wage bill remains fairly constant year on year despite repeated cuts to the playing staff
  15. Start today for O'Riordan - drew 1-1 Connor O'Riordan - 6 - Becoming solid and at home in the centre of the defence, with ample interceptions and headers won here - although a few cagey moments where he just about stubbed out the danger. Booked. On the bench today Olson - lost 2-1 - was an unused sub
  16. He was good last season, & played his part in a clean sheet last weekend Prices are forever increasing..unless its Rovers doing the selling that is
  17. It does have the feel of an extraordinarily long running practical joke at our expense I almost expect the ghost of Jeremy Beadle to walk around the corner in a policeman's outfit at any moment
  18. I do agree with that, However those sort of figures would be around the Championship average, which we unfortunately no longer pay
  19. If I wasn't aware of how cheap Rovers are under the current regime, I would be convinced that they were paying you to spread propaganda Even if we agree for the sake of argument to discount Oxford & Portsmouth, look at the rest of the post. These are actual figures from the actual published (most recently available) accounts. If you still think Rovers do not pay wages below the Championship average, then you are truly a lost cause
  20. He could have got injured in training, or whilst doing the washing up πŸ˜‰ But yes, if he is missing, odds are it is because he is off (or threw a wobbly due to the ridiculous contract offer that was made to him)
  21. If we were paying average wages at this level, we would be in the middle of the list below Even if you omit the parachute payment teams, we were comfortably in the "below average" bracket then, and have had huge cuts since this point, whilst the lowest payers (Plymouth & Rotherham) have been replaced by ambitious high payers such as Wrexham. Of the other teams who have been promoted since these figures. Derby are now obviously willing to pay more than Rovers as seen by Batth, Weimann, Travis etc. Oxford & Portsmouth are now outbidding us on fees and wages, as shown when they brought in De Keersmaecker & Kosznovszky. Charlton signed Kaminski, which likely puts their top wage bracket above what Rovers are currently willing to pay also https://www.matchdayfinance.com/post/championship-financial-results-season-2023-24
  22. I watched it on now tv via the laptop, i was there under Carabao Cup
  23. They found ACD last year I have faith in them to ensure that they manage someone of similar "quality" this season too
  24. The order came from the Blackburn Rovers board rather than the head coach himself.
