  1. Wishing injury on a player is disgusting.
  2. Unlike the fans, the man who counts gets to see and assess him in training before the game.
  3. Who do you think the manager will be - or want to be - at a club not in receipt of parachute payments- where apparently 18 points from 12 games is not good enough ?
  4. Currently on course for 69 points which will have us around 8th or 9th.
  5. The commentary suggested the ref was concerned that the keeper had concussion in which case he has to blow the whistle immediately.
  6. Who is this un-named "better manager" who wants to join a club that fire a manager who has got 18 points from his first 12 games ? What nonsense ! I propose we give this manager at least until the end of next season.
  7. Because we are supporters who want to help him do better, not jurors judging him.
  8. After 12 games ? From which we have 18 points.
  9. The late great Jimmy Armfield once said "They don't have a crowd at Blackburn, they have a jury" which was probably unfair on a lot of people but not in your case as you seem determined to talk one of our own players down.
  10. Our second XI stuffed the 2 League 2 teams we met in the League Cup.
  11. I think most fans believe that giving encouragement to young players who have come through the ranks is part and parcel of being a supporter.
  12. 2 goals and 3 assists so far this season, still aged 20. That looks harsh.
  13. I disagree. The idea was right and the chance didn't look that difficult. The execution though was very poor.
  14. Whilst I admire Dyche it seems to me to be stretching things quite a bit to describe a man whose last season as a manager ended in relegation as a "winner".
  15. I think with Scholes part of the problem was that he was an asthmatic and the very hot conditions in which tournaments are played worked against him.
  16. We are hardly the only club having to deal with this situation. Our club has resolved it to our benefit - surely a matter for celebration and credit to the likes of Broughton and Waggott for getting this over the line.
  17. No, but being Champions on 6 occasions plus 2 FA Cups might.
  18. Not sure that we can say we have had more success - Sunderland have been Champions of England on 6 occasions, compared to our 3.
  19. It's better than that. 15 points from 9 games extrapolated over a season would mean 75 points from 45 games, with 75 usually enough for the playoffs but a draw or a win from the last game of the season should clinch it.
  20. I assume Adam and Ash are properly advised, in which case neither will be signing a contract of that kind.
  21. Overall with the decision to hold on to BBD we look to be in a pretty good place. In the end it is the owners' money and if they are passing up the £12m or so that is down to them - they seem indifferent to losing money on the club. I don't understand references to relegation; I don't think there is the slightest prospect of that. In fact I think promotion is more likely than relegation. Of the clubs without parachute payments we are currently highest in the table and with a reasonable run with injuries - especially to BBD - have as good a chance as any of getting in to the playoffs; in particular with the age profile of our squad being so young there is every likelihood of some players improving significantly over the course of the season.
