  1. We took 4 points off Brentford.
  2. I'm criticising them for bottling it, yes - I would imagine that throughout the professional game there will be people with their doubts bout Frank after what happened. I think the keeper made more than just a couple of errors - including a bad one when it mattered most.
  3. Part of the problem with Frank, both him personally and his admirers, is that they wax lyrical about his "success" before he's actually achieved any.
  4. More than made up by Armstrong and Dack.
  5. No - because Mowbray won't blow it.
  6. I'd love to know what people would have said about Mowbray if we had blown the opportunity to get promotion in the regular season the way Brentford did followed by a goalkeeper on which millions had been spent presenting the opposition with a gift to lose the play off final.
  7. Good enough to be in the same division as Frank and his players.
  8. We'll see them both in the Championship on September 12.
  9. Yes - exactly, I call it as it is.
  10. Again the relevant word is "defeated". Frank and his players are bottle merchants.
  11. Mercer's figures ? Crikey - I'd love to sell you a used car.
  12. Sadly the emphasis has to be on the word "defeated" . It counts for nothing now I'm afraid.
  13. Where have we spent in excess of £20m ?
  14. Who are the 16 ? I've thought of Mulgrew, Bennett, Bell, Chapman, Nyambe and Johnson.
  15. Oh I see. What an absolute rotter he must be to have friends.
  16. What is your source for this detail regarding Tony Mowbray's pension ?
  17. Henning Berg and his lawyers say no.
  18. You are right about liquidation - in which case there is no club left which seems a high price to pay for moving on people who some don't like - but I think in administration existing contracts do continue unless they can be renegotiated because the idea is to keep the club alive.
  19. The overall effect would be that taking this season and next together costs would be greater - the owners want to go in the opposite direction.
  20. Firing people who are on fixed term contracts does not cut costs because the club will have to pay up what is due to them until the end of that term.
  21. And yet he delivered Adam Armstrong and Bradley Dack who if sold would both fetch fees well in excess of their purchase price.
  22. There are 3 and a half weeks to the first league game so we are hardly on the eve of the new season. Tim Flowers made his debut for us 2 days after signing. The owners create the circumstances in which the manager - whoever it is - is required to operate. In my opinion they make it more difficult for the manager.
  23. His success is to represent his country at three different levels, to be employed by a club in arguably the best league in the world and already to have made over 150 appearances as a professional. "Talentless" is for those scrambling around in the parks.
  24. It's not just Mowbray, it's every manager ; we have yet to win the opening game of the season under Venky's and have usually made poor starts generally with just the 2 exceptions being Kean in 2012 and Mowbray in 2017(you conveniently stopped after 2 games thereby ignoring the next 4 which were all won). In my view the operating structure at the club with decisions constantly having to be referred back to India makes it very difficult for those at Ewood Park to get things done; I do pin it on the owners.
  25. It may well be the first time ever !
