Summer Transfer Window

Sheffield United can't score goals so I would think an attempted panic buy of Armstrong is more likely than a centre half. -

Nyambe has started 1 league game, which was lost, and been on the bench for the other 2 which were won 5-0 and 4-0; I am not sure his exclusion has anything to do with contracts. Maybe the team gels better with JRC instead. -
Another great win as the manager's careful planning bears fruit. Website whoscored.com has 3 of our players - Johnson,Armstrong and Dolan-in the division's top 7 with Johnson way clear as the best player in the league. Important those 3 stay fit although Dolan will probably need a break at some stage as most players in their first season in professional football do - fortunately it looks as if the penny might have dropped with Chapman who can cover.

FFP does not prevent owner support. It is designed to prevent losses above a certain level - £39m over 3 years in the case of the Championship. -

He's the man at the top - judge him on what happens and when it goes right he deserves credit. -

As you say "his" recruitment team. If they get it wrong there will be hundreds of posts denouncing TM; get it right and suddenly there will be people saying it's nothing to do with him. -

Tony Mowbray still has his ability to spot a good player. -

If he comes out and does not make a bullish statement before a game he has been criticised; now if he comes out and does make a bullish statement he is getting criticised for that ! Things are just getting silly. -

Thuggery was the only way Smith could have played against Greaves who was a far greater player. -

Arsenal just got £20m for their second choice keeper. However I agree that the priorities are for LB and CB. -

He had clearly lost confidence after his injury - it was a good management decision which would have been appreciated by Raya. -

Leutweiler played just 6 league games when Raya was at the club - almost all of them shortly after Raya had had his head kicked in. The idea TM preferred him to Raya is complete nonsense. -

Yes, perish the thought that supporters would concentrate on what happens on the pitch rather than the musings of the CEO. -

Yes it does happen almost every year now - regardless of who is presently employed at Ewood Park. That suggests to me that the problem is in India and criticism of the likes of Waggott and Mowbray is misplaced. -

And yet last week we matched the team that came 5th in the Premier League - sets my pulse racing. -

By the same token activity in a transfer window can only be judged at the end of the window rather than with weeks to go. -

Mate, we are football supporters and if on the opening day of the season we can't have a little bit of hope I don't see the point of doing it. -

You may prove to be right that FFP will be scrapped or the rules eased - but I don't think it's a given. It only happens if a majority of Championship clubs vote for it and even with no crowds I think there will be a number of clubs - like the promoted clubs, Norwich etc- for whom FFP is not an issue. They may see a competitive advantage in retaining the FFP rules as they are. -

He's got it right often enough on transfers to be trusted , and results have not been rubbish.
