  1. Couldn't agree more. Now perhaps we will see BB and SG play in their normal roles as strikers. Both have started the season well and scored goals too, so as I'd hoped we'll find out what they are made of. Playing BB centrally his preferred position may also entice him to sign a new contract. Burke could be a good one, he was rapid, strong and whilst not the best final ball, he had the attributes to get into dangerous areas where shorter passes will reap rewards. Did anyone see him when he last played in the championship?
  2. It's just a flippant, throw-away comment, stop being so literal.
  3. Christ, someone with the latest FM could probably out do TM scouting wise.
  4. He is still talking about playing that way. I'm willing to bet he tries it again once he gets his loan signings in and we don't perform as we have to date.
  5. I like your style. The big issue isn't really whether the loanees are good enough etc, it's more that they aren't our players. Our squad, as in the number of players we OWN, is shocking and with contracts running down for most of OUR first team players (all 2 years or less) we are not looking good for the future. We could end up losing several players at the end of the season, plus the loan players and be in an even worse position come next season. TM and Waggot should be shot for allowing this to happen and their mismanagement is going to cost us dear. Just look at AA he should have been tied down before the start of last season with only 2 years left, it just makes sense. We've all seen a well run club before with JW and there's no way he would have allowed so many of our assets to have their contracts run so low, we're forced to accept buttons for them. Yes if happens but All of them? We could end up back in league one and without the players to get us back, Which would be a disaster.
  6. You love to nitpick people. He has been bitter towards the fans blaming us for BBs form and the younger players for example, how is that not bitterness? Should I use resentment? He constantly blames others doesn't he, is that again not bitterness? Bitter people always blame others for their own failings do they not? I'm not debating the semantics of a trivial word, that I am far from convinced you actually comprehend, nor understand. It doesn't matter what sort of job he does here, we are a poisoned chalice, hence why managers turn us down. If he does well then he can spin what a great job he has done. Fail and again he can blame lack of funds, owners etc etc, he wins either way with detriment to his reputation. Even our own fans think we will likely struggle this year so whether we do or do not, TMs reputation doesn't exactly suffer damage. So since nitpicking words is the real name of the game you are clearly playing and posting short antagonist comments to incite, crazy is the wrong word too. Isn't it? TM wins whether we do or not. You should consider your own responses, words etc too and try being a more pleasant and productive poster. The board would be much better if you could try, as you do it almost everyday..... Crazy stuff 😜👍
  7. Never displayed bitterness, I've seen that from him more than once, towards fans and player's and publicly in the press. blaming fans for XY & Z, Raya, Nyambe, to name but a few. You have a really idyllic view on it all. There are plenty of people out there in the world, who would hardly pull up the trees to make the next incumbents job easier. If you knew you were getting canned next year, would you bust a gut to do the best job you possibly could? How many would.
  8. Yawn, care to elaborate on why you think that, he's never displayed bitterness towards the fans has he? Or to player's?
  9. If Mowbray knows he's not wanted and we have sounded out other managers, I doubt he exactly busting a gut to make us great. He strikes me as a bitter dude and it wouldn't surprise me if he works to ensure the next manager who comes in is left with a right pickle to solve. This would also shaft the owners as money would need to be spent to resolve the issue and then we have FFP. Not even going to mention what you could do if your mate was the Chairman. Spend the AA money on loans, don't renew the contracts, stay up, great job from the outside, go down expected and no face lost for sourpuss...... And on to the next sucker club for the Coventrio.
  10. Since we're nitpicking English, it's different not diferent 😉
  11. Clearly the topic hasn't been established, as the discussion was only short players are technically gifted 🤣🤣😛
  12. A delectable ball reaches the player regardless of the opposition, ergo you are being pedantic not me. Take off your blinkers and see what really happened. The shot comparison is fair but your reply displays you didn't understand it.
  13. I would never have guessed he was that tall, obviously he is but 1.94m is a serious height and one that he should be able to use to his advantage. Even at his age his ability to leap could be improved, but that would need good coaching, both strength and technique wise.
  14. How true. I've never really understood why developing jumping in taller players is not a given in youth development. Imagine a Peter crouch who could leap like speedie or fabio? You could whip in balls that other players just would never be able to reach.
  15. I think height is irrelevant to ones ability with the ball, some of those names there are right up with the best ever technically. Kane is 6"2 he's not exactly poor either in todays game, yes smaller player's generally exhibit better skills technically as they cannot compete when they are developing from a height/strength perspective and so have no choice really but to play this way constantly as otherwise they won't have any success, but it's hardly a denominator of ones ability with the ball at their feet. Reversely Cannavaro was the best CB I have ever seen and he was a midget for that role and is smaller than me at 5"8, but boy could he jump.
  16. So BB chickened out at the last second and got lucky......... So you acknowledge luck played a critical role. Luck shouldn't be a factor in a "delectable pass". Oh what a cracking shot destined for the top corner but blocked by an opposing player to concede a corner? Is that a "delectable shot" no it is not. He did alright and showed some promise on his debut, but I think some are getting carried away with it all and need a more grounded appreciation of what really transpired. It was a nice idea and an outside right ball displays ability, but we got VERY lucky it made it through to BB, as BB also swerved the collision and got lucky there too, a combination of luck saw us score a goal against a team that otherwise dominated us from start to finish. I guess TMs straw clutching is finally transferring to the fanbase.
