Yeh JRC very off it. Hedges was outpaced, though I think a handy squad player. Need a left winger with pace.. glad the club have recognised that. Ohashi looks like he's the number 11 we've been missing for years (even if not amazing, we just haven't had one since Brereton?) Guaye an improvement on Gallagher, some great flicks/one touch build up play, but his finishing is to be seen.. also whether we can turn his heading abilities into goals. Weimann did what he does best, good to see. Travis made a few penetrating runs which were very effective. He is a good champ player on his day. I didn't think Pears made any obvious clangers? maybe I missed it. Still would like an improvement. 3 or 4 half decent signings (fullback cover (Left mostly), CM & winger) and I think we'll be okay.. if Sammie ends up staying as Ipswich/nobody will pay fair money then definitely okay.. -

JRC been a bit off it. Can Ohashi play there? Guaye got cramp after running at 90% effort for the first time. Improvement on gallagher off the ball so far. -
Starting to think the Bristol city chap would be a good signing, very experienced in the league (with what looks like will be a unexperienced front 2) and can score (and cross?) Goalkeeper, cb and winger (though need more bodies but as a minimum) i think we may stay up.. unless all new signings flop of course. Couple good loans would go a long way
-
Cooper would be a solid signing imo, not 1st choice unless a back 3, experienced and a leader. I'm happy with Hyam and Carter as 1st choice in a 4. Would need another cb if playing back 5 also unless a youngsters deemed ready (on loan as Wharton back eventually) Dont think we'll pull of Cooper though.

The England Team - all the news, views…

Agreed, Gallagher was ineffective/losing the ball - Wharton would have been the best bet on opening that game up. Needs a creative player in the middle.. I do feel we may be better against a team not sitting back. -

Didn't seem long ago that rb/lb back was our most stacked position, I'm not too worried about our defence however. Despite the hype I don't think Wharton will start. But going to be an interesting spot in the team for sure! -

Maguire's injured -
Its like a fever dream, he doesnt look out of place. I do see a place for him in this team against worse teams that will sit back.

Having an academy producing average championship players is better than most clubs could wish for. In fact it's not at that level even in my opinion. 18mil+ pays for the academy for how long? Look at Preston without an academy he's picked up by someone else at a young age, despite being rovers through and through. Imagine the state of this club without academy graduates in recent years, league 2 at best.

Amazing for him, England are so light in the holding CM role, maybe he even has a chance. I rate him over Mainoo personally. Rice, Gallagher, Maddison and Wharton maybe as cm options? Crazy really.

Hasnt struck me as being fast..
