The Summer Transfer Window (Press Submit)
Inferi replied to RoversClitheroe's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Many of these players we are rumored to be looking at can be found just by going through a list of the oldest possible Championship players with an expiring contract. Hopefully this is not how we're looking to recruit this summer. We need to add key players. -

I haven't seem him play so I cannot say whether he would be a good signing but the likes of Paul Mullin (who looked terrible when we played Wrexham) and former goalshy Millway striker Matt Smith scored loads of goals in League two last season. I don't doubt that he might be better than Telalovic, but it's a big step up from League two. Also how could he "run riot" against Luton when he was an unused substitute? -

So if Wharton got injured and wasn't sold we would be in administration. How is that acceptable? Does financial fair play rules prevent the owners from spending 20 million this window (if Szmodics is sold for let's say 10-12 million)? With our weak squad, do you find it acceptable to be scraping the barrel to find the cheapest (hopefully they are cheap) and oldest players possible who might be able to do a job for one more season before retirement? No forward thinking and no ambition. -

Exactly. It's laughable how anyone can defend the mismanagement of the club. But worry not! Yes man Eustace is happy with the squad. If we can just sign up the likes of McFadzean and Fleck for one more season we might be able to celebrate avoiding relegation once more. -

McFadzean's legs has gone which means that we have to play with a very low defensive line if he starts. If anything he might be even slower next season. Hopefully not a sign that Eustace is pleased with what he saw during the last months of last season and wants to continue with a similar tactical approach. If he is signed as squad depth because he is cheap then it's less worrying. However, it makes more sense to always expect the worst considering the previous transfer windows. -

Disgusting to see the scumbag Waggott smiling while posing with his most recently hired meat shield. -

Even outside of the club you'd think Pears has now earned a reputation for being a mistake prone clown. Even without the horrific errors he just isn't very good at this level. Would be very surprising if we got bids for him. Maybe he could get a League One loan. -

Pears has been given so many chances now and it's obvious he's not good enough. If given the opportunity his poor performances will continue to cost us points. Clearly it's time to move on. Maybe he can find success at a lower level. Keeping him here as first choice would be your typical unambitious Venky/Waggott move though. -
Happy for Wharton. Of course it was inevitable that he would leave Rovers relatively soon, but the way he was sold to the first and lowest bidder was disgusting. The Venkys are scumbags and so is Waggott and their other degenerate henchmen.

If Tyjon develops into a good player we might see a small fee in the future when he leaves like Ashley Phillips? A fee that would not be reinvested into the squad. Very good news? -

Fleck looked overweight and sluggish even in the few minutes he played for us before picking up his latest injury. Even with how mismanaged the club is I cannot imagine he will be offered a new contract. Actually maybe Fleck will be the new director of football. -
John Eustace - our head coach
Inferi replied to chaddyrovers's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Eustace certainly comes across as a panic appointment. If he is allowed to continue there is no reason to be positive about next season. Without the points from the early part of the season, relegation would already be confirmed. After his "new manager bounce" is over I expect us to collect even less points then what has been the case so far. Somehow he seems to be pleased with what he has accomplished when in reality he should be ashamed and scared of losing his job. Even with our weak squad his record is unacceptable. Considering how poor we're playing, it doesn't feel likely that we will start picking up more points if he is allowed to continue whatever he is trying to do. -

Right? Eustace thinks we have some fantastic young players and he thinks our recruitment is very good. “This football club has some fantastic young players, the recruitment has been very good, the coaching has been excellent and it’s my job to try and evolve that and put my own stamp on it, which is something I’m looking forward to doing. -

So sick of Eustace. Cowardly tactics, empty words, Steve Kean-esque press conferences and putrid performances. He should be sacked even if we manage to stay up (of course he won't). -

I know Wahlstedt has been poor but Pears is awful and looked like a nervous wreck in the most important game of the season. How is he back out there like nothing happened after that horror show? -

For a "no excuses" kind of man he sure seems to offer a lot of excuses. If he's pleased with the performances against Millwall and Plymouth he should be sacked immediately. -

Still a chance to get the one point Eustace was praying to get from this game. At home against one of the worst teams in the league. -

Cowardly performance when a win was needed. Eustace should be sacked. -

Disappointed that Eustace has seemingly been happy to get a draw in games that we should have been trying to win. And no, we don't look solid at the back despite Eustace's tactics. Yes, recruitment has been terrible, but his approach is not helping. -

The squad has been so weaked by poor recruitment (and getting rid of our best player). Now we definitely look like a relegation outfit, seemingly content with trying to get a draw against any opponent. Aimlessly hoofing it forward and praying. Head coach scared of rotating the squad because the bench is terrible, which leads to exhausted players and maybe increased injury risk. January 1 we were 10 points clear of relegation and now it's 4 points. -

What a terrible performance. Feels harsh to judge Eustace this early but we look completely hopeless. I wonder if those clowns who celebrated a successful transfer window are still happy. -

Those caps were friendlies where only players from the scandinavian leagues were selected. -

Another poor performance but it could be a valuable point in the end. It's still early days but is Eustace's football philosophy to just park the bus and hoof it and pray? Surely there's a middle ground between this and what was before? The players looked exhausted in the second half but considering our weak bench I can see why Eustace would be scared to make more changes.
