  1. Terrible transfer window. What a fucking surprise. GB: "I think the fans will be really, really excited to see him play.” Fuck off!
  2. Definitely a plausible theory. Just showing their contempt for the Rovers fans.
  3. Maybe Venkys are trying to make sure that the Wharton transfer gets done as late as possible so that they can trick some stupid happy clappers that they tried to strengthen the team but unfortunately there wasn't enough time. The money will of course not be available in the summer.
  4. Not convinced by McGuire although highlight clips obviously doesn't paint a fair picture of what he could offer. But if it's true that everything was agreed and we pulled out at this stage it's obviously a total disgrace. Not that we should be surprised considering our horrific owners. Even if we get someone in the building we should remember that the same clowns who oversaw the last january transfer window are still employed, ready to fck up once more. Best case scenario Wharton is staying. That would be great.
  5. I remember some on here previously wanting us to sign norwegian striker Erik Botheim. I haven't watched him play much. According to swedish media he will sign for Malmö FF after completing his medical today.
  6. Dropped from Coventry's starting eleven since late autumn after they had a shocking run of form. Since then they've been doing much better. Legs are gone.
  7. I hope GB doesn't spend these last crucial days of the transfer window calling all Premier league clubs begging to loan in warm bodies that can fill out the squad. I also hope we don't gamble on some striker from the german fourth tier or someone who is known to have major injury issues. (Of course those kind of signings are easier to pull off since 1)it's probably cheap and 2)most clubs at our level would probably not be interested in them) If we don't see signings that strengthen the starting eleven Wharton shouldn't have been sold in this window.
  8. Disappointed that Wharton is leaving. Desperately need to sign a replacement unless a big change in tactics is coming. Garrett and Buckley are not fit to lace his boots. Also, the mentioned fee is a bit disappointing for a player with Wharton's potential, but of course other clubs know that they can take advantage of our financial situation.
  9. Very worrying performance today against a very poor side. Lucky to not lose.
  10. As a Rovers fan it was highly satisfying to see Garrett's value increase today. Let's keep Wahlstedt in goal until his value increases.
  11. Sending out Travis on loan feels like penny pinching. Terrible. Let's loan some 18 year old dwarf to replace him on the bench.
  12. I agree that the Venkys slowly killing the club is the main problem. Our summer transfer window was pathetic. However, our xG has been higher than our opponent's for half of our matches. We are not consistently creating more dangerous goalscoring chances than our opponents. JDT has to take responsibility for choosing to play Pears despite so many poor performances. You cannot claim you're unlucky when you stick with an awful goalkeeper who predictably keeps gifting away goals.
  13. JDT's post match comments seem to be the same every single defeat. We must be so unlucky to consistently lose games where we "deserve more".
  14. Luton got promoted last season. Maybe the manager should consider the quality of his players when choosing tactics. Nevermind. I forgot that the results don't matter as we're just developing players now.
  15. Pears has been so poor. Hopefully he can have one of his good games on Sunday.
  16. I don't rate Pears, but if JDT wants him to be our first choice keeper it would've made more sense to sign a striker for the Wahlstedt money. Peterborough accepted a £ 800 000 bid for Jonson Clarke-Harris. A backup keeper could've been signed on the cheap, Chris Maxwell or similar.
  17. Replacing Wharton with Garrett seemed to kill all our attacking play. And Wharton didn't even have a good game.
  18. Pears is not a solid Championship goalkeeper. Always a mistake waiting to happen, quite regularly gifting away points. He has had good games at times, but so did the likes of Walton and Steele. The fact that he hasn't been dropped yet reflects badly on JDT.
  19. GB has put a lot of pressure on him by signing him as (presumably) our main striker. That is what is needed anyway. Hopefully he can thrive under pressure.
  20. Really disappointing result and performance. Lots of clumsy touches breaking down attacking moves close to their goal. We had four shots on goal and their goalkeeper didn't have to make any good saves. Pears looked shaky even before the howlers.
  21. Really disappointing so far. Plymouth so vulnerable at the back and most likely relegation fodder.
