  1. I agree that the Venkys slowly killing the club is the main problem. Our summer transfer window was pathetic. However, our xG has been higher than our opponent's for half of our matches. We are not consistently creating more dangerous goalscoring chances than our opponents. JDT has to take responsibility for choosing to play Pears despite so many poor performances. You cannot claim you're unlucky when you stick with an awful goalkeeper who predictably keeps gifting away goals.
  2. JDT's post match comments seem to be the same every single defeat. We must be so unlucky to consistently lose games where we "deserve more".
  3. Luton got promoted last season. Maybe the manager should consider the quality of his players when choosing tactics. Nevermind. I forgot that the results don't matter as we're just developing players now.
  4. Pears has been so poor. Hopefully he can have one of his good games on Sunday.
  5. Pickering runs like he's 50 years old.
  6. Take off Pears. So poor.
  7. I don't rate Pears, but if JDT wants him to be our first choice keeper it would've made more sense to sign a striker for the Wahlstedt money. Peterborough accepted a £ 800 000 bid for Jonson Clarke-Harris. A backup keeper could've been signed on the cheap, Chris Maxwell or similar.
  8. Replacing Wharton with Garrett seemed to kill all our attacking play. And Wharton didn't even have a good game.
  9. Pears is not a solid Championship goalkeeper. Always a mistake waiting to happen, quite regularly gifting away points. He has had good games at times, but so did the likes of Walton and Steele. The fact that he hasn't been dropped yet reflects badly on JDT.
  10. GB has put a lot of pressure on him by signing him as (presumably) our main striker. That is what is needed anyway. Hopefully he can thrive under pressure.
  11. Really disappointing result and performance. Lots of clumsy touches breaking down attacking moves close to their goal. We had four shots on goal and their goalkeeper didn't have to make any good saves. Pears looked shaky even before the howlers.
  12. Pears being a useless clown
  13. Really disappointing so far. Plymouth so vulnerable at the back and most likely relegation fodder.
  14. Plymouth looks like a terrible side . We need to take advantage.
  15. Don't worry. He's not injury prone at all. He just needs a few more months to get match fit.
  16. What the fck happened to the EFL wanting to get rid of time wasting? Pickering is painfully slow and not good enough.
  17. Pickering's defending was shocking for that goal. Total slug. I know he's slow but come on...
  18. Morton was very unimpressive during his loan spell. Maybe JDT's tactics didn't suit him, or he just wasn't good enough. Either way, it feels like GB is talking out of his arse. It's not in his interest to publicly declare that he made a poor signing. He would also not admit to agreeing to pay financial penalties for not starting Morton. Definitely hoping for better loan signings in the summer.
  19. I think and hope Luton will win. They look quite a bit stronger than Coventry. Of course anything could happen. Would be sickening to see Coventry promoted after that disgusting goal.
  20. Impressive by Luton. Just dominated Sunderland and made them look weak.
  21. Poor man's Steele sound about right I guess. His positioning was awful for that goal. It's not like Pickering could have trusted him to deal with the situation. Overall he has let in some cheap goals and his inability to deal with crosses is obvious.
  22. I hope his wage reflects that he will be expected to warm the bench. I don't trust Pears at all, and I think it was a crucial mistake by JDT to not bring Kaminski back into the lineup after his injury. If Kaminski is sold, it would be so disappointing if we don't sign a new first choice keeper. It would be such an unambitious move.
  23. I meant that our defenders are not good enough to do it consistently. I get that the opponent cannot score when you have the ball and so on...but we have lost the ball so many times in dangerous positions this season. Sometimes it's better to just hoof it.
