We're certainly more attacking than the 1st half of last season. Watford was actually a bit of a throwback to the the first few months of last season, in that we sat deep for most of the match and soaked up all their pressure. Compare with Rotherham away where we dominated possession. I'd imagine we'll do the same at Plymouth.

Weird seeing our lot sing YNWA! It seems nearly every club sung it back then. I know a few names from that era but never seen them play. I liked our LW. edit: my old man goes on about Tony Field (and Waggy). That was a sublime chip by Field.

And also how he can do it on either foot. I hadn't really noticed how good he was on his right until yesterday, always thought he was predominantly a leftie.

I think people underestimate just how much JDT asks of his 2 CM's. AW, as the deeper CM, is basically the fulcrum of that team, everything goes through him. He will give the ball away (just like Bucko does). What makes playing for JDT more difficult is that he wants his CM's to pass the ball forward through the lines, which makes it even harder. There's no room for error when every team you play against wants to squeeze the life out of the midfield. I think his passing is superb, so is his vision. He see's everything quicker than everyone else.

Gally was visibly excited by the finish

Showed some obvious quality yesterday, looked very tricky and direct. I think he'll provide good competition in the AML and AMC positions. As will Siggy.

He said in the interview on the pitch straight after the game that he knew we had to sit deep cos of Watford's quality. He got it spot on.
