  1. They'll want to win the title so it'll definitely be a live game for them. Even if Leeds lose tonight, they'll still need at least a point.
  2. It seems pretty simple. The owners have said they're not putting money in, whether because they can't or don't want to. They don't particularly care that people like RG have to sell that turd to us. He does his best to polish it, but ultimately he's not very bright so he butchers the PR. The only action that is illogical here is that of the owners. Even then, you'd probably be better off characterising it as heartless rather than lacking logic. The rest are just fairly banal pawns of middling intelligence reading lines handed to them from elsewhere for a paycheck. Good job from various people on here giving them rope to hang themselves though.
  3. Incredible how a non calamity keeper can change a team.
  4. Venkys selling the club to a wealthy, engaged party would certainly feel like a miracle.
  5. We've replaced our backline fine enough. Kaminski, BBD and Szmodics on the other hand...
  6. The good news is he's probably not making decisions of any magnitude. The bad news is...
  7. "Imagine if we didn't have Venkys! Who would fund the club then?"
  8. I'm Australian, so I'd love to see Postecoglu work out there. But creating a rift with the fan base is almost never excusable. As much as he can get some lee way for injuries, between that and performing extremely poorly on the pitch theres plenty of grounds to punt him for mine.
  9. A quality manager sticking the year out with his troops despite shitty ownership and landing a better job in the summer? What a novel concept.
  10. Out of curiosity, which clubs (if any) would be in the running to match that feat if they won a trophy this century?
  11. On of the first things I learned in the game was "Don't argue with the ref. He isn't going to change his decision." Well, not outside a Blackburn Rovers game anyway.
  12. They're probably as fed up as the rest of us. As for VI, there might be a club/situation where he'd thrive, but this one in this moment is probably too high a degree of difficulty for him.
  13. Watching Johansson in our 2 games this season really leaves you wondering what might have been.
  14. So now we know if VI can get it done on a cold night in Stoke.
  15. Doubts about Toth being ready are understandable, but the questions about Pears suitability for the Championship have been well and truly answered at this point.
  16. Kaminski had a few dodgy moments prior to his injury. I could understand a coach wanting to motivate him to come back from injury and work hard for his spot. That kind of play can be important for a coach sometimes. Hes obviously the better keeper though.
  17. Go check out him out vs Newcastle in the FA cup last year and no other matches ever.
  18. I rewatched the highlights of the Stoke game at Ewood earlier in the season. No obvious howlers, but note his positioning on the save at 1:00. Its a particularly good camera angle to highlight the problem. Yes he reacts well to parry, but look how much room he's offering on his near post. A half decent striker glances up and strokes that home comfortably. That's criminal keeping at this level, even if at first glance it looks like a good moment for him. This is back when he was in his so called purple patch just before we went on our run of 6 straight. It's not just problems with his confidence and mental fortitude, he's got significant technical issues in his game that should have been rooted out at a much lower level than the Championship. Contrast that with Johanson's performance in the same game. Yes Pears makes the odd decent stop and even a string of them from time to time. Can we imagine him pulling off anything like the sublime save at 1:17? I'll forgive the odd moment from a keeper if he can make saves like that. Swap keepers and we get 3 points there, no doubt about it in my mind. He's gotta be replaced. And a few steady games from this point won't change that.
  19. Is that from North West England's equivalent of The Onion? If so it's genuinely quite funny. If it's real it's even funnier.
  20. We've beaten all 3 promoted sides this year.
  21. The heart bleeds for you Derby. 😂
