I can't remember who said it recently in this thread but the fact that for 80-90% of the league the new season is a lottery scares me. This time next year we could be anywhere from 8th to 24th, and I wouldn't want to put any money on it. Today was a huge ask, and we fell short. The dreadful form at the start of the year was and is unforgivable. We didn't play especially well, but SU are a far better team who were playing without pressure. It would have needed one of the performances of the season to get a result, but I suppose that's what should be expected in these circumstances. Onto next season. For fucks sake.
