  1. Why? We absolutely need another striker. As someone has said Yuki isn't going to lead the line and Big Mac, even if he stays fit 100% of the season is going to fatigue. Then we're down to Vale, basically. Germain is cheap, in good form and wants to come. We should have hit the button already.
  2. The Hungarian fella feels more our fit. By that I mean cheap, unproven and a huge gamble. I don't mean to immediately whinge as we all know the need for a keeper but there have been, what, 4 good keepers available to us in the past 4 weeks and we delay, wring our hands, pretending we're considering paying a reasonable amount of money for a hugely important hire, knowing only too well that the likes of fucking HULL will show more ambition and stump up the cash. It's all good though, look what our European Scouting Network have found! Some no mark who is of course delighted to come and treble his wages in England after spending the entirety of his career bouncing from The Dog and Duck to Whofuckingknows FC and back again. Oh, by the way, anyone remember the last untested foreign goalie that we bought instead of making a sensible hire?
  3. I don't know, but did he look like a professional athlete at peak fitness last night to you? He probably plays cos the manager likes him and we've got a shit squad. I'm not defending his performance, he was abject, but to sell one of the few players with bite, drive and a bit of talent would be madness. Unless of course anyone thinks the money would be reinvested, in which case I don't want to hear from them.
  4. Not a joke, no. He's definitely not fit. Does that warrant selling him?
  5. Agreed, he needs a couple of games out but cries of sell him are ridiculous.
  6. There's no way you sell JRC. He's been awful tonight but he's a very good footballer, a good athlete and versatile.
  7. Dembele is lightening quick. If he wasn't I think it would be a non-starter. I'm ambivalent towards signing him, unless there are other options that are being blocked in favour of signing big club players.
  8. Felt like a tongue in cheek comment, no?
  9. I know no-one on this board can answer me but I have to ask; what the fuck are the recruitment team doing? We're so short I can only imagine there are barriers in place preventing us from making even a loan signing. I predicted at the start of the window £<2m spend on transfers but I had my pessimistic pants on, I was slightly hopeful that the club would recognise how close we are to fielding an incredibly poor team. As someone said above, it looks like this is only going one way.
  10. Two things, he isn't the manager, and he doesn't have zero input.
  11. I think the issue is that the players in question are goalkeeper clearly well past their best and an ineffective winger with questionable work ethic/focus. I would argue that had Eustace not worked with the previously they wouldn't be targets, as neither of them seem overly inspiring (to put it mildly) options.
  12. Yeah I had missed that post - it's a silly statement. Still, neither of the two Birmingham players seem universally wanted by those responsible for recruitment.
  13. That's a bit reductive. Two controversial potential signings from a relegated club are being questioned. Neither of the two players seem to be attracting much interest from elsewhere, do they?
  14. If they shove Trav out the door the day after posting his video about loving the club they've outdone themselves. Fucking morons.
  15. Spot on. It's a widely accepted fact that no club has ever sold a good player.
  16. Feel you might have risen to some bait there, fella.
  17. One of his recent was he's "been told we might bring in a keeper". Way to stick your neck on the line with a known recruitment focus there fella.
  18. I'm fairly sure someone has done some maths on this recently but I don't know where they are. We're a relatively small championship club that, without the SS money has brought in at least £25m in transfer revenue in the past year. I don't buy that operating costs are still £20m p/a, especially after the multiple rounds of belt tightening we've seen. Operating costs is a wonderfully vague word for someone like Waggot to be able to wheel out. I'm by no means blaming anyone using the term cos we've all been conditioned by these pricks but it's really starting to get on my nerves.
  19. He's fallible from time to time but you can't replace your experienced captain in the centre of midfield with a winger. That's fairly obvious, no?
  20. He sure as shit isn't a replacement for Travis
