He asked for assurances on budget from the clowns. It wasn’t forthcoming. He left. Rovers is a good job, and I’m sure the next manager will be fed the same promises, and I’m sure the club will then make the job impossible. Anyone blaming the manager hasn’t been paying attention these last 15 years, especially the last 2.

He asked for a new contract and assurances on funding. They refused both. So he left. If you are refused a new contract after taking the team from the bottom 6 to the top 6 in less than a year then you know you aren’t wanted. This is the part that is being conveniently ignored.

Last season 6th got 73 points. In 22/23 6th got 69 points. In 20/21 it was 77points. I think I’d agree it doesn’t look like a big points total will be needed for 6th this season. Coventry, currently 7th, would have to win 8 out of their last 13 games to get 71 points.

Lowe said as much after the WBA game. He said Eustace had focused a lot on making us good out of possession, which we could all see. Lowe said he’d just made a few tweaks on the attacking side. I think getting the 3 AM’s closer to Gueye and leaving him less isolated has been an obvious change.
