  1. Dolan missed a sitter and neither of the goals were Hedges fault.
  2. And that’s the difference in quality in the wide areas Beck at fault for both goals
  3. We’ve just paid for those missed chances
  4. It’s not really a ‘whoosh’ if I acknowledged he might be joking. You just concentrate on watching Tronstad. You’ve a lot to learn😉
  5. Frank Lampard’s Coventry smashing Wayne Rooney’s Plymouth 4-0
  6. No idea if you’re joking. He’s watching his brother
  7. We should be 3 up by now We are playing really well
  8. Take it back…. Superb from Dolan! 1-0 get in Yuki!!!
  9. And now Dolan misses a sitter. We are so limited up front
  10. Typical Hedges. Easy pass on to put Dolan clean through and he fucked it up
  11. Be interesting to see where Dolan and Hedges play @chaddyrovers
  12. Hamstring. No idea of surgery but probs not if only 6 weeks
  13. Bingo! And neither are the vast majority of wingers in the Championship. The rare ones that are get picked up quickly by Prem teams (Bowen and Scott for example)
  14. But BBD and Elliott aren’t average Championship players. Why do you expect Hedges and Dolan to do what Saka and Salah can do?
  15. Which has nothing to do with the discussion we were having. So you agree that just because world class players like Saka and Salah can play as inverted wingers very very effectively it doesn’t mean average Championship players can?
  16. I think Eustace got it wrong at Millwall with his team selection and will go back to basics today. Jackson’s predicted changes make sense. Baker in for Trav. Cantwell back at AMC, Dolan RW and Hedges LW would be my choice. Ohashi up front.
  17. Mikey Johnston doesn’t make the team half the time. Liam Millar plays like an old fashioned winger in that he likes to beat people on the outside (at least he did when playing for PNE). As for Rovers, Hedges looks more comfortable on the left and Dolan on the right. Eustace seems to be a bit more old school in that regard. He likes players on their natural side, probably because he realises that Hedges and Dolan aren’t Salah or Saka and aren’t going to dance inside past 4 men and stick it in the top corner.
  18. I think you meant Merry Christmas!🎄 😉
  19. Yes, not every game captures the imagination, which is why the BBE is now being opened. It hasn’t been opened since Oxford because no other game has captured the imagination like the upcoming dingle game, even though, as you say, we’ve been in good positions before this in the league. You made my point for me. Maybe I’ve not understood the discussion properly, but mine was just a general observation that ticket sales like this are always possible at Ewood, regardless of price, for a one off game in the right circumstances. The fan base has never changed in that regard, despite 14 years of dickhead owners.
  20. We have the fanbase, but not every game or season captures the imagination. This season, and Boxing Day and the derby in particular, have. And I’m not sure when we’ve ’done better’ over the last 7 years? Our points total at this stage is as good If not better than any season I can remember since relegation. Momentum has been building in recent weeks. As stated, we always have the potential to sell a lot of tickets if the planets align, as they are at the moment. It’s always been the case in my 40+ of watching Rovers, and always will be.
  21. I’m surprised anyone is surprised we’ve sold a load of tickets. We’re doing well, it’s Christmas. We’ve always had a sizeable fanbase that materialises in those circumstances. Most clubs do. The ticket price is irrelevant too for a one off game. We’ll be straight back to 12k-13k home fans for Pompey and Cov. If we get to the play offs we’ll have to open the top tier of the BBE again. ‘Twas ever thus.
