Die Hard 4 is a top movie. There's no earthly way they could top that. It's stupid, but it's good stuupid. I really do like that ruck in the car park with the martial arts bitch. Classic stuff. John McLane, one of the all-time great movie characters. Welcome to the party pal! Number 1 was the best.

Number 3 I didn't like so much, number 2 was solid. It's got the T-1000 geezer in it, it's gotta be cool. "Hey arsehole, what do I look like to you?" "A sitting duck." Hey, Gunnery Sergeant Floppy-Knobby, tell us about fuse delays on grenades again, it's enthralling!

Die Hard's got to be in my top ten, god knows how many times I've watched it.

"Mr. Takagi, I could talk about industrialization and men's fashion all day, but I'm afraid work must intrude, and my associate, Theo, has some questions for you." The whole film's absolutely wicked and #2 was pretty good as well. apparently "Yippee-kay-ay" means "here, eat this" in Urdu. cool.

Were you shook up? Were you nervous?
-
The whole film's one great big quoteable line. "Is that you John Wayne? Is this me?"
-
Wow ... you've not seen V for Vendetta Glenn? Would've thought that was right up your street. And Full Metal Jacket as well. That film is just pure brilliant. "You better start ****ing me tiffany cuff-links Pyle, or I will most definitely **** you up!"
-
I liked the line about Johnny Unitas. "you can't put me in a cage man!" And the line about going down the freeway in a metal coffin. Seriously cool stuff. Now I switch over and there's some French gaylord stuff with Colin Farrell kissing his mother and having no penis, it's frankly ill-making.

Point Break has just been on BBC1. Honestly, how cool is that movie? It's just cool, man! :-) Makes me wanna go surfing on Deal sea-front, even though I can't surf! yeah!

Maybe it's a case of getting bodies into the Academy to justify its existence? A championship team then takes a chance on one of our youth players thinking they must be good because they've been groomed by a Prem team, eventually find out they're not up to scratch and down the leagues they tumble.
-
Bloody hell, that's a blast from the past. I thought he was meant to be quite decent. As for why some of these players just drop through the leagues into obscurity so fast after they leave us, I'd hazard a guess that they lose motivation once they realise that they're not going to make it in the way they were hoping? And Gary Harkins going on mazy dribbles ... I'm sure I could do a mazy dribble or two in the Scottish First Division. They're either all standing off of him, or he's a late developer.

Yeah, as much as I liked Psycho as a player, a manager (even at Championship level) he ain't. -

... but assistants don't make good managers. Bobby wasn't assistant to Ron Greenwood. -

I think he was asking for a little civility, you don't need to take note of his opinions if you don't want to. Or maybe you were just exchanging an opinion with him? In fact I'd be surprised if you needed to take note of anyone's opinion since you seem to know it all already. -

What do you mean, "how so?" you great dingbat? Thugs out-numbering innocent by-standers and giving them a thumping, all because of a football match, does that not strike you as animalistic behaviour? -

It was an eyewitness report on the BBC that 1 West Ham fan was being battered by 12 Millwall. I have a mate who is a West Ham fan who filled me in about them using coins. -

There were apparently at least 12 Millwall "supporters" surrounding one West Ham fan, battering him, using coins between their fingers. Sickening. These people are animals. -
[Archived] Big Ron Forced To Resign

Just watched Celebrity Wife Swap just now with Big Ron and Tessa Sanderson. It'sd obviously a very sore point with him. You get the feeling he thinks he can't win. If he tries to do some suitable work in the community people will think he's only doing it to make amends, that if he didn't need to do some atonement, he wouldn't be doing it. And will he only be remembered for that one comment? And not for his ground-breaking work bringing through black players into the English game. Just think it's a shame, that's all. -

Regardless of his goal stats (how many of those were pens?) his application has to be called into question. We can't be playing some fat git who isn't capable of lasting 90 minutes. The guy has to knuckle down again. I don't see any clubs sniffing around him these days. The theory that he can't get his stamina back cos he's 30 is hysterical. -
OK, for the avoidance of doubt rover6, can you please explicitly detail why Taylor was treated badly by Hughes. I'm genuinely intrigued.
-
None of which you can personally justify having only ever seen Taylor play u-19 football for England on the telly. In fact, I'm not even sure what these reasons are. Presumably because he was a youth player for us that should mean he gets special treatment?
