Reckon your Missus will still be in her woolly hat come the end of the season.

Rubbish. Football is no more about individual emotions than reading a newspaper on the bloody toilet is. Football is so obviously a communal experience that I can't even be bothered arguing the point. DEFINITELY NOT. Eh? Agree with you, but do you read the newspaper on the loo with other people? Sitting on the toilet is about a group of motions. Can hence understand the confusion.

[Archived] Bully Boys 3 Norwich 0

I'd like to see Dickov given a break. Or perhaps that should be "I'd like to be given a break from Dickov"! Nothing personal against him. He certainly tries his hardest, but he is lacking in quality when it comes to finishing off chances. Give him the last 30 mins yeah, but I think a change could help us. I think we'll draw against Norwich (again) and stay up by a whisker this season. But we desperately need new strikers, full-backs (both sides) and wingers worthy of the name. In other words, we only seem to have half a team at the minute. -

Now there's a turn-up for the books! -
How very high-brow, sober and serious. Who cares whether it's about the Sky money or not, the Premiership has far more prestige than its Scottish counterpart. There's really no debate on that, anything else is just excuses. Beneath the veneer of the studious football fan who takes it all so seriously when he's not banking, you're just a sneering little sod. When you're not trying to excuse the poor standard of Scottish football you're handing out tart rebukes, which can't really be taken seriously. Babby's been back there a while, yet you're still droning on. Someone's gotten under your skin I think. Time to get back to banking, four copies of the daily's (oh so studious, be sure to read every single story) and your tinpot league.

If we ship an early goal, we've had it. I'm startung to feel a bit fearful about this one.

Everyone can see that for gawd's sakes. Doesn't mean we can necessarily get someone in, does it? -
Deckchairs on the Titanic anyone?

Bottom line is, no-one knows for sure what will happen at Chelsea in 5 years time. Abramovich is a mysterious figure who keeps his cards close to his chest. They could be conquering all before them in 5 years time, with Abramovich still there. Or they could be on skid row, like they were before the got taken over, with the players gone, the ground leased, Abramovich shot by the mafia and the players pawning their gold teeth. Or a scenario in between those extremes. Just because the geezer has oodles of dosh it guarantees nothing, look at how Real Madrid have been struggling. Mega-money can guarantee you a better class of player, but it can't buy team cohesion, heart, guts and passion. As for Mourinho, I think he needs a lesson in humility. His self-confidence has mutated into arrogance and a true sportsman shouldn't be arrogant. Tosser!

We few, we happy few, we band of Rovers; For he to-day that sheds his blood with me Shall be my brother; be he ne'er so vile, This day shall gentle his condition: And poofters in Scotland now a-bed Shall think themselves accursed they were not here, And hold their manhoods cheap whiles any speaks That fought with us upon Saint Dingle's day. -

A goal! A goal! My kingdom for a goal! -
Must take a real hard man to lob a scafolding pole about. I wonder if there were kids on the train? If you're brainless enough to want to harm someone because they support another team then at least have the nuts to face them out and use your fists.

This thread is becoming a breeding-ground for daft prejudices. Northerners eat tripe and don't wash the coal-dust off their faces for days; People from the South-West speak in a strange dialect of Gaelic and are forever eating scones and tea when they're not getting hammered on cider; South-Easterners have all the decent jobs and own those car things and everyone hates them for it; Scotsmen speak unintelligably, drink too much whisky and beat their wives and the Welsh are best left alone. What a load of cr*p, some of you should hear yourselves sometimes. Yeah, there's a lot of prats in the South - we don't have a monopoly on it though. You'd think teh "North" was some sort of utopian haven.

What's the size of our club got to do with it when we're comparing divisions, not individual teams? Just thought you'd have a crafty sneer, eh? It's not unusual to have a few teams dominate the title race, that's no reflection on the quality of a league. But pound for pound, I'd say the Premiership is streets ahead of Scotland. We have enough teams of stature to have a top tier of 20 teams, they only have to play each other twice a season. English teams have done rather well in Europe in the last ten years or so, how about Scottish ones? You have to go back to the days of Jim McLean and Alex Ferguson. The Premiership is one of the biggest leagues in the World, games are beamed out to virtually every country, I don't think Scottish football gets the same coverage. You seem to have a massive chip on your shoulder because every rebuttal you come out with seems to centre on the lack of TV money. That's like saying Guatemalan football isn't big because they don't get any TV money, er no it's because Guatemala is a footballing minnow.

But people are giving you their research to ensure you don't have to do it yourself.

Sutton a great? Do me a bleeding favour!

Does it say something special? I don't think so. 50,000 yeah, 15 ain't much to brag about. Tommy Briggs for me. Simon Garner should be nowhere near the top, but he'll probably win. 10 people voted for Matt Jansen first time out FFS!

Classic! Loved that one - cheers! -
"We want you to play against Charlton" "I have an injured knee" "Oh, so you're refusing to play, are you?!"

MCMC had edited his so it didn't make any sense any more anyway.

Yeah, I was thinking that after I pressed "Submit".

I used to like Hearts too (still do in fact), I remember the days when John Robertson used to knock them in all day for Hearts, he's the manager now I think. Unfortunately I doubt Hearts will win the title for a long time. I'm not going to start wearing a Tam O'Shanter or anything, but I'll always favour Celtic over Rangers now. I'm hopping mad about the whole thing, it all smells very strongly of a stitch-up to me. "I'm man enough to admit I made a mistake" - oooh, you big hard-man. You socking banker.
-
I used to quite like Rangers because of the Souness connection. No more. Will be rooting for Celtic from now on.

Was just thinking back to when Hughesy took over, was just after the Newcastle game, for which TP was caretaker. Then I thought: "How's he getting on with the reserves?", then I realised he'd been sacked! Must've been because he'd been such a fixture I'd clean forgotten! Did he get that coaching job at Luton in the end? Glad to see that the rumpus hasn't affected our season, we don't appear to be missing him. Although the way it came about was despisable, I think we're better for it. Good luck Tony, wherever you are!

Hahahahahahahhahaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa! Put your handbag down sweetie! We might be small but we don't have pretensions of glamour. "One of the biggest clubs in the World" - What a hoot! You're in Scotland for a start!
