That *was* the January Window

I think I’d play him in the FA Cup game. -
I was looking at an autographed Everton programme the other day because Fred Pickering’s autograph was on it. Roy Vernon’s was on also. Every autograph was clear as bell, you could easily name every one. I have an autographed Rovers ball somewhere. A friend won it in a raffle a few years ago and gave it to me. You had to have a printed sheet with the ball so you could decipher the “ autographs.”

Britain, Hyam, Wharton, Pickering Travis Tronstad, Wharton Szmodics Gally ( Ennis or Telaovic for now ), Sigurdsson. And play more of the game in our opponents half. -

If we do end up in the drop zone this lot won’t get us out of it. -

The full backs, if Tronstad, Wharton and Travis have the brains to cover for them when they go forward. etc. Basic football. Make us harder to score against, we need 2 goals every game to get a draw. -

Play all three in midfield in a 4-3-1-2. And stop conceding goals. I’d try it in the FA Cup game. -

I was thinking earlier today - when did Rovers last bully a team in a game, as opposed to being bullied of course ? It must be before the Chicken Chokers arrived. -

On that occasion he had a game to forget. Dived over one my mum could have kept out then went to pieces. -

Brierley almost ticked those boxes but he’s a regular on Brentford’s bench now. I believe we’ve signed a player when I see him running out in a game at Ewood Park. -
Not a film but a live musical. We saw “ Hamilton “ at the Palace in Manchester earlier this week. Fabulous performance, it’s jaw droppingly good.

I think I was at that game. I think it’s the one we lost 1-0. Bonnetti always played really well at Ewood. Pity about the World Cup quarter final ! -

First requirement of a full back - pace. Second requirement of a full back- you’ve got to like a tackle. -

That’s were the “ fatigue “ thing puzzles me, how can you get fatigued when half the time you’re playing walking football ? -

How many “ caught the eye of other clubs “ yesterday ? Any scouts there would have closed up their iPad at half time and gone home for an early pint. -

The two aren’t mutually exclusive Jim. You can win and play entertaining football. -

Just looking at the stats yesterday - we had 68% of the play and 1 shot on goal. They had 32% of the play and 6 shots on goal. Says it all for me. -

We’re talking Luton Town here not Liverpool or Chelsea. 99% of players move for more money. We’re probably paying Pears and Walstedt what we could have paid Kaminski and Hilton. -

He comes across as a likeable guy and compared with his immediate predecessor he comes across as a breath of fresh air. Having said that BRFC is in the entertainment business and we need entertainment on the pitch. -

I admired the Spanish team of a dozens years ago that started all this “ keep ball “ style football off. The ball control, ability to find space etc was amazing at times. But ultimately I found it pretty sterile. I called it “ Kissing Your Sister “ football. Pleasant but not very exciting. -

I think we played well in that game because nobody expected us to win. Therefore no real pressure. That’s the problem at the moment - as soon as the pressure is on not enough of our players are able to cope.
