He’s got a very nice line in suits. It reminded me of my hand made mohair suit days.

Not a gig as such but Bradley Wiggins has a programme about Mod culture on Sky Arts tonight at 10-30. It was quite interesting examination of what it meant/means to be a Mod.He finished with a short interview with Paul Weller that got a bit sticky at times.

He certainly looked a real player going off tonight’s showing.

Pass of the night. He’s such a funny player Lukaku. Some games you don’t know he’s playing and some games he’s a real threat.

Looks like Rochdale have been rescued by a knight in shining armour. Local millionaire/billionaire Sir Peter Ogden is set to take over. Then we hear - “ Who’d be interested in Rovers ? “ -

It certainly felt like it. Let’s see what he goes for when he leaves Palace. -
Walker’s had a great career. He’s still as quick now as he was when he was younger. A very difficult opponent for any winger/wide player. I remember seeing him playing for Sheff Utd against the dingles at Wembley and thinking - “ that left back can play a bit “. That’s where he played that day. Best player on the pitch in that game.

I was in Waterstones book shop in Manchester yesterday. I noticed a coffee table size book on the subject of “ Rickenbacker “ guitars. It was still in the cellophane rapping so I can’t review it but it was a weighty tome. ” Rickenbacker ,Pioneers of the electric guitar “ . The definitive history of a 20th century icon. By Martin Kelly and Paul Kelly. There was as a similar book regarding “ RSG “. If you have to ask - the book isn’t for you. This one I did get a look through and it’s excellent - £40 though. Incidentally on my way from Waterstones to the Royal Exchange John Buckley and his wag walked past me. ” A Taste Of Honey “ at the Royal Exchange was OK but not a “ must see “.
