  1. I can see him being a big success up there.
  2. The Crickets - More Than I Can Say
  3. He’s got a very nice line in suits. It reminded me of my hand made mohair suit days.
  4. The Four Seasons - Walk Like A Man
  5. Ron Holden And The Thunderbirds - Love You So
  6. Not a gig as such but Bradley Wiggins has a programme about Mod culture on Sky Arts tonight at 10-30. It was quite interesting examination of what it meant/means to be a Mod.He finished with a short interview with Paul Weller that got a bit sticky at times.
  7. He certainly looked a real player going off tonight’s showing.
  8. Pass of the night. He’s such a funny player Lukaku. Some games you don’t know he’s playing and some games he’s a real threat.
  9. Doris Troy - I’ll Do Anything
  10. Procol Harum - Whiter Shade Of Pale The sound of the summer of ‘67. I’ve had a bit of IT training so prepared to be bored with old videos.
  11. The Contours - First I Look At The Purse
  12. Looks like Rochdale have been rescued by a knight in shining armour. Local millionaire/billionaire Sir Peter Ogden is set to take over. Then we hear - “ Who’d be interested in Rovers ? “
  13. Neither was Siggy as far as I could see.
  14. The Beatles - I’ve Just Seen A Face
  15. Maybe Gilsenan will get some game time now ?
  16. It certainly felt like it. Let’s see what he goes for when he leaves Palace.
  17. Walker’s had a great career. He’s still as quick now as he was when he was younger. A very difficult opponent for any winger/wide player. I remember seeing him playing for Sheff Utd against the dingles at Wembley and thinking - “ that left back can play a bit “. That’s where he played that day. Best player on the pitch in that game.
  18. Barbara Lynn - You’ll Lose A Good Thing
  19. Gladys Knight And The Pips - Baby Don’t Change Your Mind
  20. Arthur Alexander - Soldier Of Love The Beatles did a good cover of this.
  21. It’s a miracle we get the crowds we do. Supporting Rovers under the the Chicken Chokers is only slightly preferable to knocking nails through the back of your hand.
  22. The Music Explosion - Little Bit o’ Soul
  23. Thanks, sounds like a minefield to me.
  24. I was in Waterstones book shop in Manchester yesterday. I noticed a coffee table size book on the subject of “ Rickenbacker “ guitars. It was still in the cellophane rapping so I can’t review it but it was a weighty tome. ” Rickenbacker ,Pioneers of the electric guitar “ . The definitive history of a 20th century icon. By Martin Kelly and Paul Kelly. There was as a similar book regarding “ RSG “. If you have to ask - the book isn’t for you. This one I did get a look through and it’s excellent - £40 though. Incidentally on my way from Waterstones to the Royal Exchange John Buckley and his wag walked past me. ” A Taste Of Honey “ at the Royal Exchange was OK but not a “ must see “.
