  1. I thought Leicester gave it a good go from half time until we scored.
  2. Everybody turned up today, even the lads on loan. I’m just thrilled for the fans who’ve followed Rovers away through thick and thin. They deserved that.
  3. To get this set of players up to a win 1-0 away at Leeds and 2-0 away at Leicester ? Nah, let’s sack him and play football managers Russian Roulette again.
  4. It’s a 16 a side game now not 11 a side. Not having adequate subs to bring on has got us on the brink of relegation.
  5. Yes the academy is our one success story. How long for is in the lap of the gods.
  6. I first saw us go down in 1966 and I’ve seen several relegations since then. I don’t recall us going down fighting ever.
  7. No element at the club is set up for success. It’s as simple as that.
  8. Without serious investment in summer the chances are we’ll struggle again. Any team that only has one player capable of regularly scoring goals is going to be nearer the bottom of the league than the top. Look at the rest of the so called strikers at the club this season - Gally, never was a world beater but he’s regressed alarmingly. He never even looks like scoring the odd goal, never mind scoring regularly. Telly, probably well out of his depth but never gets a minute never mind a game. Ennis, what was that all about ? A really strange signing. Came unfit and stayed unfit. Leonard, not ready to play at this level but he has been injured for most of it. Vale, another not good enough to play at our level so he was loaned out. That was it. To expect any manager to thrive with that lot betrays a lack of understanding of what Championship football is all about. Goals change games massively. More now than it ever was in my day. If we can score first we normally play quite well but without goals coming from other players besides Sammi we don’t score first often enough.
  9. He’s not ready to play at that level yet but he will in a couple of years.
  10. A completely wasted season. We haven’t even stood still, we’ve gone backwards.
  11. Lonnie Mack - Further On Down The Road One of the unknown great guitarists.
  12. We don’t do sensible.
  13. I think he was signed in case anything happened to Morsy. Injuries, suspension etc.
  14. It speaks for itself. Plenty of eminently forgettable players in that list
  15. Mowbray signed way more bad players than good. Bowyer ( or his dad ) was the manager who signed good players.
  16. Every season there’s usually one team that looks dead and buried in January but goes on an unbelievable run to get clear. This season several teams have gone on runs to pull clear.
  17. It’s not just about statistics is it ? He was the one player who could consistently get us from deep in our half to deep in the opponents half with a pass or a carry. Tronstad can’t, Travis couldn’t , JRC could do it once in half a dozen games. It’s not his fault if he was laying balls on a plate for the other dopes to squander.
  18. The Supremes - When The Love Light Starts Shining Through His Eyes
  19. JDT had Wharton. When he left 50 % of our attacking threat went with him out of the door. It was our “ Ken Knighton “ moment, when the management sold the one player that could have possibly kept us up to pay the wages and keep the lights on,
