  1. I watched the first two episodes of “ Spy/Master “ on Saturday night. If you’re a fan of the Cold War era spy thrillers like “ Funeral In Berlin”, “ The Ipcress File “ and “ The Spy Who Came In From The Cold “ this series is a must
  2. Prince La La - She Put The Hurt On Ne
  3. I agree about Gally. He’s turned into a non scoring striker. We can’t afford that if we sell Sammi.
  4. That’s just football. It’s run by shithouses most of the time.
  5. That was before they ballsed everything up.
  6. They don’t want Blackburn Rovers putting their head above the parapet. The don’t want the Premier league spotlight shining on them. Once you get that in your head you’ll sleep much more soundly.
  7. Gally didn’t even put his foot through it. Pretty weak effort.
  8. Maybe I’ve missed something. What is the nature of Wharton’s injury ?
  9. JRC I think ? Yeah I’ve watched it loads of times. I was expecting for him to take it up to the goal line, get down on his hands and knees, and head it in !
  10. He’s got more metal in his legs than Douglas Bader. That’s one for the old guys on here.
  11. Mitch Ryder And The Detroit Wheels - Break Out
  12. Maybe Rudy is his bodyguard. He might need one next season.
  13. Very honest interview. The last good left back we’ve had at Rovers in my opinion.
  14. We’ve nobody who can put a free kick into the top corner either. When did we last score direct from a free kick ? Must have been when Champagne Charlie was taking them !
  15. The Shadows - Don’t Make My Baby Blue Nice vocals from Hank and Co.
  16. I like Rice a lot, he’s a cracking player with a great engine but Wharton is a better, more penetrating, passer of the ball. There’s nobody coming through that can see and deliver a pass better in the England team. Other players might be better in other ways but when he comes down to picking out forward runs Wharton is superb. Probably one of last “ street ‘ footballers.
  17. It’s £6-00 a pint where I drink.
  18. It was his decision making ability that caught my eye when I first saw him play. He’s two moves ahead all the time. “ The ability to make the right decision at speed under pressure is what separates the top players from the also rans “.
  19. Looking at the strapping he was wearing on Saturday he can’t have been 100% fit but you would have never known it just watching him. He’s known the dog shit training pitches and poor facilities. So you value it more when you get to a better place. The kids coming through the academy don’t know the rough side of football.
  20. He played in more games than the play off final.
  21. It’s all the more galling for me because the lad was quite happy at Rovers and we were under no pressure to sell him other than from the Chicken Chokers who had ballsed up the finances.
  22. More or less. I can’t recall a player doing more on his own to pull the team through. David Speedie is the nearest one I can think of but he had a lot of support from his team mates.
