Yeah, I keep getting those two mixed up for some reason I can’t quite fathom. -
Venky’s (& Suhail) Out Protest Ideas

I did the same when they appointed Coyle. I didn’t watch matches, in fact I didn’t watch any football at all. I didn’t come on here. My only connection with the club was to look at the scores at 5-00 pm on Saturdays and that was it. I’d open my paper in midweek and I’d see we’d played ( lost usually ). To be honest I felt miles better for it. I was much more cheerful and optimistic about life in general. Rovers were making me feel really miserable. I came back when they appointed Lambert and Co. I thought at last it would be a step forward. Of course they ballsed that up in their inimitable style. I’m getting to that point again I’m afraid. There’s only so much shit you can take in your life. The only thing that keeps me interested is my grandson, he’s a Rovers fan and I like to encourage him. If it wasn’t for him I’d have been long gone. This is from somebody who has lived for football and Rovers since 1962 ! -
John Eustace - our head coach

Anybody who’s still working at Rovers after 14 years of chaos must be a real glutton for punishment. I’d have gone and got a normal job years ago, -
What’s it like having super powers ? Being able to see into the future must be really useful. Or maybe not.

Anybody in that position lives or dies by the signings that they make. Decent recruiters ( for want of a better word ) I would expect to get 50% of their signing right. IE players who significantly improve the existing 11 or 16 that take to the field. A really good recruiter I would expect to get 75% of their signings right. Nobody gets every signing right. I thought Juan Veron would be a great signing for Utd back in the day but he was a flop. I also though David Bentley wouldn’t do much at Rovers, I got that wrong also. Given the mistakes made and less than adequate signings made it’s really no surprise that Broughton has be given the Black Spot. Who replaces him I don’t know. If it’s true that we only have a handful of magic beans to spend I’d suggest Chaddy. At least he’d have a long list of guys we can’t afford to sign. Something to talk about in summer.

What concerns me in all this is the effect it’ll have on the current managerial team. Make no mistake about it if Eustace decides to leave he will have suitors given he kept our heads above water last season. He may even have suitors now who are well aware of the circus that is Blackburn Rovers. We can’t afford to be looking for a new manager so soon after appointing the current one. Just another day in the life of a Blackburn Rovers fan. Utter chaos and turmoil are never far away. I’m just considering wether supporting Rovers is worse than knocking nails through the back of your hand.

How smart do you have to be to know getting in from the sides is a winner ? It’s a defenders nightmare getting turned around and facing your own goal. Who knows where the guy you’re supposed to be marking has gone because you can’t watch him and the ball at the same time. I knew that when I was 12. -
That doesn’t read well. More disagreements in the camp.

He’ll be better for the circumstances we’ll probably find out selves in next season - potless. -

He was dead right about the “ pull backs “ but you need somebody on the end of them. Preferably not Gally. -

Possibly Ramsdale isn’t happy sitting on the bench at Arsenal and Jason Steele is ? -

On the BBC football “ gossip “ site it’s been reported that Arsenal are looking to sign Jason Steele from Brighton ! -

Yeah, he was fairly average in his old role although he always gave 100%. Since taking over from BBD he’s turned into a goal machine. -

My mum had a saying - “ If the cap fits, wear it “. Here’s another one - “ What can’t speak, can’t lie “. Rightly or wrongly, for what ever reason, we were ending for the drop. -

Fergie - journeyman footballer - possibly the best manager ever. Bobby Charlton - world class footballer - a flop as a manager. I detected enough of a change in the mentality of the team for us get hard won wins away at Leeds and Leicester. -

If Ipswich come in for Gally this summer I’ll be lumping on them to be relegated. -

That’s the difference between having a team of elite international footballers and a team of lower level journeymen. You can only wee with the willy you’ve got. Let’s see how it goes if Eustace can bring in some players with the right mentality. It’s 2024 now. Tugay, Bentley, Samba, Freidel etc don’t play for us anymore. -
There’s a little “ Clark’s Originals “ shop on King Street in Manchester. They sell a big range of the desert boots. I got a pair of “ Clark’s “ Wallabees in there a few weeks ago. Nice shoes but they need a bit of breaking in. The sales assistant was a Blackburn girl funnily enough although she lives in Manchester now. I recognised her accent right away.

I lost my trusty “ Paul And Shark “ baseball cap the other day. I’d had it years, I bought it out in Spain in a special sale at El Cortes Inglises ( a sort of Spanish Kendall Milnes ) for about £30. I was looking on the internet for a replacement and the latest version is £100 ! If you think that’s a bit pricey you can have a nice plain one from “ Loro Piana “ ( never heard of them ) for a mere £355 ! If you want the embroidered version - “ That will be £440 sir “. edit - I’ve just been on their site, it’s a hoot. Nice polo shirt - £800 etc . And I thought “ Paul And Shark “ was expensive.

As somebody else said - “ Why is it we never have an administrative problem selling players, only when we are trying to sign them “.
