  1. Tommy Edwards - It’s All In The Game
  2. Of course, you’ve got to fight for the right to play your football first and foremost.
  3. I’ve said that all along. To football your way out of this league you need the likes of Duff, Dunn, Jansen, etc etc. Trying it with lesser players will only get you where Rovers are today.
  4. My grandson went today on his own for the first time - his view - “ It was alright but very cold, and toxic at full time. The boos were ringing out anyway “.
  5. Ooijer had a rough start but turned into a class act. Then he very unluckily broke his leg.
  6. Players feeling sorry for them selves ? Not a good sign.
  7. It’s just the same as in any other walk of life. If the top management are disinterested or detached from what’s going on at the coalface gradually the malaise spreads throughout the workforce. That applies to whatever organisation you care to name. Zombie mananagement leads to zombie players and a zombie club.
  8. I just got back from holiday at 3.00 pm today but my son watched it. His comments - “ That was gross, something needs to change “.
  9. America - A Horse With No Name
  10. Prince La La - She Put The Hurt On Me
  11. And their keeper watched that all the way !
  12. Those went out of fashion up here over a year ago. All I’ve seen recently are the big blue canisters, as big as a fire extinguisher ! One one weekend I picked up a dozen of them !.
  13. The Yardbirds - Train Kept A’Rollin
  14. I think it was called off twice. Both Eamon Rogers and Billy Wilson were available for the original date but were suspended for the actual game. Both badly missed on the night.
  15. The Chicken Chokers ownership of Blackburn Rovers will only end one way. They are like a cancer on the body of the club. One day they will kill us. It might be next week, it might be next year, it might be in five years. But it’s coming as sure as the sun coming up this morning. Any other option than them owning us is preferable.
  16. At the moment I’d rather have Gally and that’s saying something.
  17. The “ Phil Spector “ of football minus the madness and guns.
  18. The Band - The Shape I’m In
  19. From a perfectly floated Keith Newton free kick out on the right after Glyn Pardoe had taken Stuart Metcalfe’s legs from under him. Some things you never forget. We were back in the game for about ten minutes, then City ran away with it,
  20. He is pretty immobile these days but they were putting the ball on his head from deep last season.
  21. He would have been about 5 years ago. Has he got 45 minutes in him these days ? I get the feeling he hasn’t. He came on in the cup game at Ewood last year for the last 30 minutes and got everything in the air. His flick ons caused us endless problems but the team don’t play route one football according to JDT so I can’t see that working for Rovers. If I was Gally I’d be deeply embarrassed that a 35 yr old bloke is a better bet than me. Having said that Gally has a lot to be embarrassed about.
  22. Both of those ( Gilliver and Britt ) were really good players prior to getting injured before we signed them. A bit like Martin Dahlin. The Gilliver signing fiasco led to mandatory fitness tests for football league players. We even got some money back as a result of the case.
  23. The new Jim Fryatt ? Or is it the new Frank Lord ?
  24. I’d consider starting with Garrett instead of A Wharton. Bring Wharton later when things have settled down.
