  1. He could be whatever he wants to be When he's on song he's Rodney Marsh MK 2. A matchwinner. If he's not careful he'll waste his career. The lower divisions are full of players with ability but the wrong attitude.
  2. Yeah I saw that incident. Dack was in bit a bit of a tussle for the ball out on the wing and lost out. He just let the Norwich player run away with the ball downfield. Can you see Speedie doing that, or Shearer ? I keep banging about it but we lack heart and we have done for years. I'd bet a pound to a penny he'd be thinking more about having a night out in London that beating Norwich.
  3. I couldn't agree more, it's getting ridiculous. Norwich were at it last night towards the end. Players dropping to the ground for no good reason.
  4. it was one of those incidents. Some refs see that as a red card, some see it as a yellow. It's a judgement call.
  5. Williams v Pukki in a foot race, only one winner there. Williams has been playing well at centre half but he was let down by his partner. Everybody but Pukki was expecting Lenihan to head it straight back down the pitch. He gambled on a cock up by the centre half and he was right. William would have had to attempt a tackle from behind in a situation were Pukki has all the cards. Lenihan commits one huge howler every game. That was last nights. Let's hope Sheff Utd were watching. The ref gave us that one but not much else after that.
  6. I meant he was being played so other clubs can have a look at him.
  7. She was only " Tired and emotional " as they say in " Private Eye ".
  8. We could have got Pep for less than that !
  9. I like Nyambe, not so keen on Bell. However if you're looking to play with effective wing backs who can both attack and defend those two won't cut it. I agree Williams did well last night but that free header he missed from a corner ! What an amateurish attempt, I think he closed his eyes.
  10. If we could trust the idiots to appoint a sensible replacement I'd be right there with you on this. Trouble is we can't. We got shown up last night by a team playing 2019 style football. We're still playing last century football.
  11. I'd drop him until he learns how to cross a ball ! I was biting the carpet after that one he ballsed up in the second half. I still have nightmares about that chance he missed at Oldham last season. Dribbled around everybody including the goalkeeper and then shot into the side netting ! My mum could have put that one away !
  12. I thought Leuts did ok last night. He got caught on his line for the first one but apart from that he didn't do much wrong. He looked like Gordon Banks compared to their goalie. He got down for Travis's shot like he was getting into bed ! Just a shame we didn't give him more to do.
  13. If you've played you recognise the little tricks. Just enough to handicap your opponent without drawing a free kick.
  14. His worth now is about half of what it was in the Autumn.
  15. We lost too many 50/50 balls and too many second balls. That little Spaniard they have burst through 3 of our " tacklers " in the second half out on the right when somebody should have filled him in. We've been a soft touch to play against for too long. Every one of their players knew how to leave a bit in on every tackle.
  16. Norwich managed to find one on the cheap. Of course if all you know is English League players it gets a lot harder.
  17. In my paper it had our formation down as 4-2-2-2. That's not how I saw it but we definitely play with two defensive midfield players
  18. Looks like a new keeper is a certainty , Leuts is in the shop window I think.
  19. Yeah we all know what we need, It's what we get that's the problem.
  20. I bet the people who lived in that row of terraced houses were thrilled. Lovely photo, I always got to the ground really early ( 2.00 pm ) and stood by the railings on the Riverside. I'd usually move to the end Rovers were attacking once I knew which way we were playing. Sometimes I'd stay put if the opposition were local and there was a big gate.
  21. Tell the players that, chances are it will be flip flop football.
  22. I also like Henderson at Rochdale who scores plenty of goals in a very average team but I think age is against him.
  23. Rodwell is obviously a class player in terms of ability but he seems to be just playing within himself. He could wear the same kit every week without washing it. You need more commitment and ability to get around that area of the pitch rapidly from whoever plays in that role.
  24. Managers come and go at Ewood but the same malaise remains. Slow starters. Out enthused again. What I'd give for a set of players who are really up for the battle.
