Which team do you reckon has a more cohesive and coherent game plan Parson ? Mowbray's team or Johnno's team ? Johnno seems to combine player development with actually winning games as well. First team wise that's something we are not doing at the moment.

Caused by being too " loyal " to his existing players. If I'd a pound for every manager that has eventually been sacked for that reason I'd be pretty well off.

How long have I been saying that ? Move Mowbray up stairs, get Venus blowing the balls up and Lowe putting out the cones. I was only saying to my son yesterday " Rochdale could do a lot worse than appoint Johnno now they've sacked Keith Hill. " We started the season really badly, losing game after game. He's turned it around and that's after seeing a lot of his best players loaned out. The lad's a winner. Knowing our luck the Chokers would sack Mowbray and appoint one of their long list of under achievers in his place. People just don't realise how hard being second team manager can be,

A very good coach and good at fixing broken toys. When you look at the cast offs he made good at Rochdale he must have something. He has the habit of getting on peoples nerves though. Living in Rochdale I follow them closely and he's been a bit Mowbrayesque lately. Chopping and changing the team and playing players out of position. I'd had enough of Bowyer though, when you've been around football a while you get to smell relegation in a team and his team ended up smelling of it. Our lot at the moment have a similar smell.

That happens a lot with young players. He'll come back stronger next season I hope. Picking a MOS won't be easy this season. too many underachievers. I used MOS instead of POS for obvious reasons.

I had my doubts in the Newcastle Cup tie at Ewood when we went to a completely untried 3 at the back when 2 of the 3 were Nyambe and Bell. A crazy idea that meant we were 2-0 down before we got a toe into the game. The players look like they have major doubts as well now.

When I saw Downing was going out on loan I thought that must mean we're bringing in a better centre half. Well I got that one wrong and so did Mowbray ! Quite a few people on here told me at the time I complained " We're good for centre halves, we need to blow him out ! " Well How good are we now ? Centre halves are more vulnerable to injuries ( well they bloody should be ) and suspension. Every team plays two, some play three. Plus one on the bench. Letting Downing go without a replacement being brought in as well as allowing Wharton and Platt to go out on loan was the height of idiocy !

I don't agree with equating Mowbray and Coyle as managers at all but at the moment talking purely in team performance terms what is the difference? All the failings that haunted Coyles time here have returned with a vengeance.

I remember Blackpool going down years ago. They'd never been in the drop zone all season until the last ten minutes of their last game ! After Xmas they were safely mid table.
