Its SUPPOSED to ease off and just be a bit showery most of the afternoon, although that seems hard to imagine looking outside at the minute...
-
Christ it's gonna be a wet one today but looking forward to it regardless. My Facebook timeline just reminded me its 7 years ago today that the repulsive cretin that is Steve Kean left us, I'll drink to that ???

https://www.oufc.co.uk/news/2019/september/six-game-flexi-ticket/ Not sure if this has been posted previously but it's a decent initiative. Midweek games are a no go for me 9 times out of 10 because of work commitments and I miss another chunk of weekend games for a variety of other social and family commitments as I'm sure most do.

Samuel could, in theory flourish playing in a front 2 with Gallagher, running on from his flick on's. If he keeps banging them in he at least deserves a run out.
-
If we underestimate Luton we really could come unstuck. Pretty sure most fans and pundits alike will make us clear favourites but it's true there's no easy games in this league. Treat them with respect but seal a nice 2-0 win and I'll be a happy chap.

I often work away and stay wherever they put me, not really arsed. If I stay in say a travel lodge though they're always full of workers, be it sales reps or scaffolders I rarely go to a quiet one!
-
It's down the road from the m65 then others within 15 mins or so, not a bad location at all for a business traveller.
-
Erm what about the bolt from the blue yesterday too then from Armstrong ?
-
They finished marginally above us last season. My point is about our squad THIS season.
-
Not many people bigging Sam up today. Unfortunately strikers are judged on goals, but for me he was superb again. Won more headers than the rest of the team combined too, can't head a ball according to a few on here mind.
-
Preston aren't blessed with our riches of depth so the team practically picks itself. Yes they do sit above us, in September. So do Charlton who are proving to be completely lost without their only goal threat. Let's see what happens when the injuries kick in, we're obviously light in defence but elsewhere bob on.
-
That's exactly what happened. The experienced players, which I hold my hand up and admit I was a bit dubious about are proving to be absolutely key.
-
Do we not think theres signs we're progressing beyond that now though? WBA was annoying because we deserved a draw there tbh. I feel LOT more confident about seeing a game out these days. Today would have ended 2-2 or even a 3-2 defeat last season.
-
Picked up an injury in training yesterday. Rothwell was ill too which explains his absence.
-
Great win and are we all starting to get a bit giddy with the P word again now? ? Hold my hands up and admit I groaned a bit at the line up but I think Tosin getting injured forced his hand a bit and didn't allow the same back 3/5. I also asked what Armstrong needed to do to get dropped and he conjures up THAT goal! Great finish and hopefully should give him a boost. The pressing today was superb and they were all, understandably, shattered. The experienced old heads were priceless coming off the bench today too and definitely played a big part. 3 points absolutely crucial next week and can't see any reason why it won't happen, after that theres some real tough games coming up leading up to Preston.
-
Absolutely none, it's terrible location wise. There's a fan zone and that's pretty much it for miles!

I doubt Thursday night football vs Slovan Bratislava in the Eujoker league is that appealing to be honest and they're likely to drop out at the group stage. The Turkish league is woeful and playing in it week in week out is not an attractive proposition.
-
His alternatives didn't sound amazing. China where he would make a heap of cash but that's literally it. Turkey where he would get borderline assaulted every game and I doubt the wages offered were massive. Not sure if there was anything else on the table but we're the more attractive proposition even if it's for less brass.
-
Yes I'm not complaining, just found it odd! Makes no odds to them if we're season ticket holders or not.
-
Fourth fittest in the squad after training with a fourth tier German team? Makes you wonder what the rest of the squad have been up to! Be interesting to see where he plays and when, certainly seems a character.
-
Agree with a lot of your comments. I too follow German football and can't remember being blown away by Holtby much the last few seasons. Not totally against it but it just seems odd timing and he won't be match fit either. When he is it gives the tinker man another option too when he really could do with settling on his first choice 11 by now.
-
I think I might travel down for it, wasn't going to initially as it's been an expensive few weeks but the bookies have been made to cough up lately ? Found it a bit odd that tickets are 20 quid for our season ticket holders and a fiver more for non season ticket holders, for an away game. It'll be interesting to see if we line up the same, I'd say the back 3/5 definitely will barring injury but after that no guarantees. I think a 2-0 Rovers win is incoming chaps
-
Oh come on he was a bit part player for both, doubt people can remember him much at all ?
-
Surprising amounts of optimism for here over a player people have probably barely seen play, still I can't knock it, makes a refreshing change!

I said exactly the same
