  1. Because it's an England International Game Because you can talent spot the up and coming England Squad Because we want to show off Ewood Because it's a special occasion Because our Jon Stead is playing Because you can Just Because Still, why would we possibly want miserable (thinking of rude word but won't say it) people there? I'm going, and I intend to enjoy it! Come on England, and Jon Stead! Alternatively you can sit in a nice warm public house supping draught ale and watch the action. I know which I'll be doing. It's a Friday night, I might have gone on a Saturday but that's life
  2. Will it buggery, do you realise how many hours a footballer puts in a day?
  3. Wasn't really THAT long ago that you really needed a season ticket to get tickets for away games. Coventry away in fancy dress was a good un, must have been 6k there that day
  4. I voted for Graham Hawkins, just because I can.
  5. Well you've obviously gone to a lot of trouble with that post AESF but I seriously doubt your average Rovers fan puts that much thought into where their cash ends up.
  6. How can you get bored of watching Rocky videos? Strange man! The chelsea game is probably gonna be on Canal+ anyway so I feel my £40 is better off spent on funding the lager diet.
  7. Find it hard to see up breaching the Villa defence I'm afraid Actually ###### no, 2-0 to us
  8. Well do the logical thing - ask uncle warburton to confirm.
  9. A few of us on here were slightly worried about Hughes' lack of experience in the transfer market prior to his appointment. Well I must admit he's gonna have problems if he thinks he can sign players by just throwing his beanie hat into a ring?!
  10. Good. Heck we could do with a creative spark from somewhere.
  11. Haven't read it yet but the front page of the LET is basically JW laughing off the reports by the sounds of it.
  12. The have given free tickets to schools and areas of low value (highercroft etc) before so why not to an asian? Whats the difference? Have you ever heard of corporate image Hughsey? Even an Asian schoolchild perhaps? Ewood park isn't an underground bunker, I think the Asians know where it is.
  13. I was thinking the same but how much would he cost? A swap deal for Neill? Who Knows? I think we need a new thread on the subject
  14. I've never been offered free tickets to a Kabbadi (sp?) tournament?! Why on earth should I pay my hard earned cash to watch the team I've followed since the age of 5, to find that a family of Asians with a slight interest get in for free? If an Asian is even slightly interested in watching Rovers there's nothing whatsoever stopping them, END OF STORY.
  15. I'm sure mr Bellamy would rather play for Hughes, wouldn't say no to him coming to Ewood In January
  16. Weren't Boro relegated (under Robson?) Everton have been there all along.
  17. Well there we have it, the solution. Free bike light instructions should be given out upon entrance into the ground. Anyone got John Williams' Email address?
  18. Aren't Fulham in a similar boat to ourselves? They splashed the cash to get to the premiership, the money kind of dried up a while back and the gates went downhill in due course. Heard that one of their stands is now for 'neutrals', basically meaning it'll probably be full of away fans when they play a team with a big following. Hope we don't turn to such desperate measures. We've all got our little theories but the sad truth is there appears to be no solution.
  19. What constitues 'reasonable'?!? Wearing a replica shirt and staying away from alcohol, maybe even taking a rattle and a scarf with you? So Paul what if YOU were wrongly accused? Would you just sit back and take it on the chin? Or would you protest your innocence? Especially when the accusation means you can't watch the team you support. Dave, of course I'd protest my innocence but I also know I wouldn't get into the situation in the first place. Now I also realise this is a topic I should have kept out of, I'm dipping out because I know I'm at least 25 years too old to appreciate the younger view. Left to myself I'd avoid the situation, my son is 18, and I know how young people feel about that view so it's best if I just try to bow out gracefully. It's the difference between youth and experience, that's all. OK? Fair do's. Think people were a little harsh on BRFCC though, he started a topic for discussion and quite frankly some of the comments directed at him are pathetic and childish, not mentioning any names.

  21. Well you would believe that wouldnt you, considering that you are one of the 17. Well I can't vouch for this BRFCC bloke but I know for a fact that a few on that list don't deserve to be banned and if they are our club is losing loyal supporters who have done nothing wrong. Please explain. What's there to explain? I know at least 2 on the list have no interest in hooliganism WHATSOEVER. It's quite easy to become a 'suspected hooligan' these days, not necessarily saying that's a bad thing because it needed clamping down on. Take Preston away pre-season. 15 of us went to Preston by train and made our way to the exchange, within 10 minutes around 20 of lancashires finest turn up and proceed to follow us round all day. I'm not complaining, we had a crack with them and there was no trouble whatsoever. None of the 15 have been involved in violent disorder of any sort but we were clearly 'suspected hooligans' because we liked a drink and didn't wear replica shirts. If I received a banning order for what I consider normal behaviour for a lad my age then I'd be extremely pi$$ed off and would appeal against it till it was over-turned.
