  1. Definitely 4 at the back unless he's got a mad idea of playing Rothwell as a wing back!
  2. Time to shine Rothwell, time to shine
  3. To my knowledge Chapman hasn't played a competitive game for us in the Championship, did you really need that explaining to you? What a pointless comment, we know what most of the first team are/aren't capable of.
  4. Why is there not? He's 21 himself ffs - hardly a seasoned pro at the club.
  5. I think expectations just got a bit ridiculous because of the great run in January, beating WBA and Hull who at that time were the form team in the league. Then we went 2 up at Brentford and were starting to dream, that soon went tits up mind as we all know. I think that game really knocked the stuffing out of us looking back and started the downward spiral. Tuesdays win should give us a much needed lift, granted Wigan are dreadful but it's important to get that winning feeling back.
  6. Won 4-1, Rankin-Costello brace, Vale and Carter with the others. Another 90 under his belt for Chappers I believe. Was only following twitter updates but he seems to be imposing himself more each time he plays. He sounds like he's capable of making the bench for the first team now. Not sure if TM is being sensible or a bit mard with him but personally can't wait to see him back running at defenders.
  7. We needed a win and you'd have taken a scrappy one, 3 goals and a clean sheet is a huge bonus. I'd love it if that shower get relegated too so come on Milwall and Rotherham tomorrow ?
  8. Tbf Williams at least has a fair bit of experience if nothing else compared to the other 2 so not totally against him playing.
  9. Gotta be Raya Williams Magloire Nyambe Bennett Bell Reed Travis Dack Armstrong Graham And that I like.
  10. They've won one game away game all season and that was right at the start. If we lose this we need to drop every single player and start the U23 lot on Saturday there's literally no excuse.
  11. It's certainly not the night for hoof ball the way that wind is howling about. I think conditions are perfect for Nuttall or Brero to get on the end of some passes zipped across the piss wet through pitch. Alas we'll start with Graham up top and nothing balls pumped up to him. Nothing against Graham whatsoever I just think we need to mix it up tonight and give them something different to worry about. Three 0-1 losses on the bounce at home says it all after previously having one of the better home records in the league. We can't defend for shit so may as well just go gung ho and out score them.
  12. Chapmans just banged a goal in from 25 yards. Unfit though ?
  13. Not sure how he's got to that conclusion but I find it rather odd. If he's training every day and managing 180 mins of football is he really THAT unfit?
  14. If he gets another 90 under his belt tonight he at least deserves a spot on the bench against Sheff Weds
  15. The more I think about this game and the resources available in defence the more I imagine it being an absolute disaster. They've got a few big lumps in the team and I can see them causing mad panic every set piece....
  16. I remember after Bolton away I randomly walked past the players entrance after the game and Mulgrew stormed to the team coach before any of the other players were even leaving with a real face on. Didn't read too much into it back then but maybe he's more cry baby than captain fantastic?
  17. Bennett 100% needs dropping. I don't give a shit how hard he tries, I was watching his positional sense yesterday and it was like watching a primary school kid try and defend.
  18. I thought their fans were OK tbh, drank in the Fernhurst after the game with no bother at all. In a following of that size you're bound to get a few clowns, let's be honest half of them probably won't go another game all season.
  19. Yeah you're spot on. Was talking to some Preston lads in the Fernhurst and they said exactly the same. Sooner this season ends the better. That said, if we go into next season like we're playing at the moment we're 100% going down.
  20. True but that applies to most grounds, pint of Singha at City was probably my last decent pint in a ground ?
  21. Nothing to lose trying something like this, although not everyone likes a pint or 2 at football there's a big chunk of people who do
  22. City without a shadow of a doubt. I know a fair few Liverpool fans but out of all of them there's probably only one who's a decent bloke.
  23. Full 90 for Chappers and Davenport too, must be close to some first team involvement the pair of them...
