Attendances: A cause for concern

Yep, I can't stand the guy but I will give him credit for actually engaging with the fans on this occasion. As always, actions speak louder than words though. -
Used to love Saint and Greavsie as a boy, back when we weren't forced to involve women in football shows.... Rip Jimmy

I didn't go yesterday unfortunately due to family commitments but I believe Waggott was there and was in discussion with fans. He openly admitted they need to look at pricing so let's see if he actually follows that through... -

Our away followings aren't suffering quite as bad in fairness. Blackpool sold out in days and suspect we could have sold the allocation twice over -
Tough game that and a point probably a fair result. Clarkson should have scored but so should their lad first half, great save from Kaminski mind. We'd have lost that last season without the fantastic Ayala, I really do pray he stays fit when it gets cold because he's making Lenihan look 10 times the player he was last season too. Disappointed Butterworth didn't come on rather than Clarkson after his game changing cameo midweek. Yet to see what Clarkson offers I'm afraid, looks like a lost little boy. I think we potentially have a good player in Khadra though so hopefully he's fully fit and starting games soon, Poveda wasn't great. When Wharton and the Brighton lad are fit, along with JRC and Edun we actually have decent options in defence but January can't come quick enough on the striker front. A Danny Graham type with Diaz and Khadra supporting would be ideal. That said, we didn't create enough yesterday so even having Lukaku up front wouldn't have made much difference.

Because he's small is literally some people's reasoning....

In a weird way they're very very lucky. They only just stayed up by the skin of their teeth last season. Had they been in league 1 now they'd be looking at a fight to avoid league 2. Always feel for the fans of any club in this situation, let's hope for their sake they come out of it more like Bolton and Wigan appear to be doing than those less fortunate. After the shock and disappointment often comes togetherness and the fight back.

It's still grim now! Always freezing and grey when I've been, although the last time it was boxing day in fairness.

Looks like Bolton will have 20k on today, tenner for adults and a fiver kids. Do people think we'd see a similar uplift? I have my doubts, although I suppose they are still riding the promotion wave combined with a promising start. The Oxford game seems such a long time ago now.... -

So just over 2000 tickets have sold out in a few days for Blackpool. Suspect we could have sold twice that had they gone on general sale to the non season ticket holders. Is the biggest factor the reasonable price of £23 or just the jolly boys day out on the ale? I must admit I'm looking forward to it a lot more than a Tuesday night at home to Hull.... -
All points to a 1-1. Would be nice to get a win there though we've been shite at Oakwell the past few times I've been.

v Hull City (h) 14/9/2021

Brereton was isolated all first half. People forget how many times the same happened with Armstrong last season, but as with Armstrong he still managed a goal. Loomed better when he had some half decent support second half. Never gonna have the strength o the ball or hold up play of Lukaku I'm afraid but use him correctly and he'll score goals as well as lay on many assists. -

Terrible first half, I think many of us feared performances like that all season with no Armstrong replacement. However. Khadra, Butty, Rothwell and Diaz stepped it up with a dazzling second half spell. Hopefully all 4 start Saturday but I have my doubts. Had we not let the lead slip on Saturday we'd be joint top now, early doors yes but a better start than most of us anticipated I'm sure, rather importantly we've scored in every game too. Tough run of games on the horizon now though so let's see how we get on. -
Holding the management to account

I'm completely gobsmacked by the amount of positive comments I've seen today about Mowbray and the owners following the transfer fiasco. Not on here of course but other socials. I used to think they were mainly plants from the club but theres far too many for it to just be that! I speak to many rovers fans, I'm in various groups on WhatsApp etc, I don't know anyone who's spinning ridiculous positivity like this, who the hell are these people?!?! -

Everyone starts somewhere. The art of scoring a goal remains the same - just get it in the net regardless of league starts. I'm not for 1 minute saying I'm happy with the lack of an incoming striker though! So many things are uncertain at the club, the only thing that IS nailed on is that we're now in a position where we must wee with the willy we've got as Souey once put it 😁 -

I wouldn't even be surprised now if Mowbray is on the phone to Downing asking him if he fancies giving it 'one last go' just to make it look like he's got someone signed 🤣 -

Guarantee there'll be a story in the telegraph tomorrow about how we tried for someone really decent we'd all have welcomed, say Maja or someone along them lines. -

We keep hearing the likes of Sharpe saying we've been 'trying'. Who has? Seriously WHO is actually trying to sort these alleged deals? -

We're a striker away from a good window IMO. Without the striker though it's an average one. We have a head of recruitment FFS, he should be fired on the spot tomorrow if he flops on the striker front. -

He's a forward, he played on the left of a front 3 for Swansea last season and did rather well. -

No. Why do people think if someone plays off centre that they're being played as a winger? Unless we start playing 442 we won't be playing anyone as a winger. A front 3 of Lowe Brereton Gallagher is capable of a decent return IMO and I'm up for it. -

He's not an out and out striker, played on the left of a front 3 for Swansea last season, imagine he'd do the same for us.
