  1. I think most of it is sitting in the match thread. I, and am sure plenty of others feel gutted about his injury
  2. Pretty sure I saw something the other day about Butterworth being back in training again. Can anyone confirm or did I imagine this? U23's are one of the few things to be excited about with Rovers at the moment. Feel like a few of them will be needed next season.
  3. Ruined by officials rewarding playacting. It's not just simply the refs being conned. The definition of what is foul play has become softer and softer over the years to the point whereby we are in the realms of non contact.
  4. I don't care massively any more. You are right though. It makes zero sense that the ref gave their pen and not this one. Or the one on Nyambe. Each one had an element of softness too them. But its pure double standards in the same 90 minutes. We were poor. But the referee essentially decided the outcome to the game.
  5. Just shit isn't it. I actually fell asleep with about 15 minutes to go last night so didn't even know about Dacky until this morning. Just think what's the point sometimes. We flatter to deceive and go nowhere as a club. Bradley Dack for me really lifted this club out the gloom. A club it was hard to love. Painful seeing this happen. Again. It's just shit.
  6. The pen was a joke. However the bigger joke was our first half performance. We've been pressed out the game with no way to pass through. And obviously the long balls aren't going to stick to Dolan unless you somehow get it into his feet. Mowbray needed to at least experiment with the positioning of our front three in that first half. But no. We change nothing. He just stands there watching it not work.
  7. The bloke literally ran into Lenihan. The officiating is a joke. I genuinely don't know what Lenihan could have done if we are judging that to be a penalty, however soft. His only other option would have been to run away.
  8. Are you even watching. Lenihan literally stood there and did nothing. I thought the ref was giving a yellow for diving at first
  9. How is it fair this game is on a Friday? We only played Tuesday. Surely it should be a normal Saturday kick off with that considered. To make matters worse Brentford have had 10 days off.
  10. Funny game this one. Barca absolutely hammered PSG first half yet the majority of the chances fell to Dembele who squandered the lot. Had Suarez still been there I imagine it would have been a different story. They could have easily been right back in the tie and looked a little like Barca of old. 2 absolutely ridiculous penalties awarded by the English ref. It really is ruining the game. And an absolute thunderbolt from Messi which was worth tuning in alone just to see. Second half Pochettino switched things up and nullified Barca more and they ran out of steam. Great game to watch though.
  11. I couldn't find an existing thread for JRC. Since returning from injury I've been very impressed with how he has slotted back into the first team. He just looks like a very good football player. Positionally, technically, can pick a pass. I don't know whether he is to be a right back long term. But you can definitely tell there is a genuine real player there. Another that it is imperative we tie down to a long deal. He's also got about the coolest name in world football.
  12. His game on Saturday I thought was his best game in a Rovers shirt. Definitely not to the standard some on here bigged it up too. But it was a huge improvement. Tonight though he stepped it up again. The biggest difference for me is that he is snapping into tackles and looks to have a little more stamina about him. One of his 70 yard passes to Brereton tonight was genuinely world class. I thought he had a really, really good game. The only criticism I'd have is he was at times a little slow to pick a pass on one or two occasions. But that is being hyper critical. He deserves his place in the side right now. It's not a case of giving him game time. The shirt should be his to lose for the next few games.
  13. This ref is fucking dreadful. That was never a penalty in a million years. Moments before Buckley was absolutely clattered. And the only bit of pressure Swansea have had in this game has been them lobbing soft free kick after soft free kick into the area. I'm not sure we've had a free kick yet.
  14. Team Buckley vs Team anti Buckley. This is just the internet. I think quite a few people, myself included have given a balanced opinion on his performance. His best one yet, however he was still very sloppy at times. Plenty of people the pounce, saying he was quality etc etc. It gets tiresome. As far as I can see there are only about one or two posters (Ben Whiteman included who is weirdly on this messageboard) who are claiming he was total shite. He had a good game. Mainly his work off the ball. With the ball he was a mixed bag. Two good bits a plenty of lost possession. Hopefully he builds on what was overall a good performance. Let's have a bit of balance.
  15. There is a very good striker in the French second division. Young, quick, physical and banging them in. Mohamed Bayo. I don't know whether he would be out our range if we sold Arma. He would probably cost a few quid. Always a bit of a gamble. But one that could pay off big time.
  16. He definitely also gave quite a number of very lax sloppy passes away yesterday. He was mixed in terms of his on the ball play. His main 2 contributions were very decent. The Gally pass and the run and pass for the penalty claim. But he absolutely did give it away under little pressure on multiple occasions. In saying that it was by far his best performance as he was actually brilliant off the ball. Some strong tackles, good interceptions and a lot more energy. Overall I'd say it was a good performance. But he was bloody sloppy at times.
  17. Pretty much most of which was contained to a 5 minute flurry at the end when we were 2-0 up. I don't think we ever looked like losing.
  18. We often concede from shots just outside the area which deflect. Getting a player in that pocket of space in a dangerous position (Dacks goal) is something we have been doing very, very rarely, yet allowing it at the other end. Bit of luck involved yes, but the amount of play we had around their area today means you hugely increase the likelihood of that happening.
  19. He did play a couple of very good passes. But generally he was poor with the ball. He gave it away a lot. And I'm not slating him here. It's one of the first times I've seen him hold his own. His work off the ball was very good. Usually he is a passenger. Today he wasn't.
  20. Massive win that. Could be hugely important so delighted with the three points. Was very unhappy with the line up but happy to be proven wrong. Of the big changes. Dolan - Motm. He was a pest and the ball seemed to just stick to him. He really linked our forward play together Dacky - yeah it was a deflection but he did what he does in and around the area. Found a pocket of space and scored. He and we looked far better with him further forwards. Buckley - Weirdly was very decent off the ball with some good interceptions and tackles. Poor with the ball though JRC - Seemed more balanced than Nyambe in his positioning. Offered a threat with his passing as opposed to Nyambes bursting runs. Shout out to Harwood-Bellis, Trybull and Gallagher too. All worked hard and played their positions well. Thought it was a really good performance which we definitely deserved to win. The only time Millwall threatened was with Matt Smith. He's so huge though he'd trouble any side. Didn't think they were ever really in the game though.
  21. Breaking that line up down. JRC straight back in after 4 months out. Millwall are going to be physical. Not a time or position for him to come back in Dack does not work in a 3. He has to be in and around the opposition penalty area. Buckley randomly starting against Millwall. The absolute last player I'd be throwing in. Dolan simply can't be central. The only justification for Gallagher and Brereton playing where they play is Arma scores. If this is how he lines up then I just don't understand. It looks like he's just randomly made changes and lobbed different players into his system. It does not occur that maybe the system is the major issue. It's one of the worst line ups I've seen. I'm really panicking we are on our way down.
  22. Care massively. I'm very anxious about relegation. This isn't just the normal shite and end of season lethargy. We're in trouble and desperate for 3 points. Don't think we will get them but its definitely the game we have the best chance in considering the fixture list. 1-1 draw
